Can you explain " Tithing under Grace" a little more.
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
Tithing was in the land before the law of tithing. The law of tithing was instituted by God for the children of Israel. The priest and levites lived off of the tithing. I do not teach tithing per Malachi which is the law, I teach it based on grace which is how Abraham tithes
@lindahorn60872 жыл бұрын
I understand that Abraham was before the law, however is Grace under Christ Jesus different than that of Abraham?
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
Same grace as a matter of fact grace has always existed
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
What I’m saying is Malachi is under the law but the law was not given to us but to the Jews. The law of tithing was given to the Jews and not to us. Abraham gave tithes before the law. So when I tithe it’s not under the law or according to Malachi
@JohnThomas-sc4tg2 жыл бұрын
Pastor Jones could they also be the Jews lert behind that had intermingled with the nonjews in the land?

God renders our "sin nature" inactive, so does that mean it is powerless? Do we activate it and have to repent?
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
Yes He renders the sin nature inactive or powerless and it has no power over us, we have to sin willful

Dr. Rodney, First of all, I enjoy your Sunday School lessons every week! I have a question. You said that “Let a man examine himself” has nothing to do with sin. Please explain. Thanks, Sherwood Coley
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
Yes the communion lesson was not technically about sin, it was about not discerning that it is the Lords body, he says let a man examine himself ( if he is discerning that this is the lords body) and not of sin, notice he says let him eat and drink
@c.brazley92702 жыл бұрын
@@RodneyJonesTeachings still don’t get it. ???
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
The word examine is not about sin, it means to discern, let a man discern if he recognizes that this is the Lords body and blood and not regular food, then let him eat and drink the communion

Pastor Jones, I believed you stated that tithes in the OT was for priest and Levite’s to survive…they didn’t work or own property. tithing today is for what? Is it for the man of God who doesn’t work or own property to survive or to support the edifice? I’m not trying to be funny or cruel, I really don’t understand our not being under the Law but always referencing Malachi when speaking about our tithing today. Please explain in a little more detail. What do you mean when you say that you tithe according to grace?
@RodneyJonesTeachings2 жыл бұрын
Great question, Abraham tithe when he was alive….. over 400 years later the law of tithing was given to the JEWS by God. Malachi was written to the Jews and in it it speaks about Robbing God through tithes and offering. Since I am not bound under nor by the law I do not tithe by it. I tithe like Abraham from my heart, tithing supports the ministry
@emmawilliams92132 жыл бұрын
