I have as well owned many GS bikes. Now that I am 64, the F850 GS Rallye is the perfect balance for me in all ways. Rode 3,200 miles in the past week from Michigan to South Dakota and Wyoming.

Congrats BMW! Instead of a F750GS : a new GS version of the F900XR with an 19 inches front wheel & fully adjustable front inverted forks would have interested me a lot... to late, i just bought a Triumph Tiger 900 GT & i love it 😎😍🤗.

Good you're happy with your purchase. Congrats. I went for f750gs, all packages onboard, this year and no regrets. Absolutely fantastic bike. I've covered about 4k km so far. I'm not a pro rider so things like adjustable front forks are of no interest to me. Just wondering, what's so cool about your Tiger? What do you like the most?
@trekkydelirium-vroom58214 жыл бұрын
Adi Novak : the Tiger 900 GT is my dream bike. Before i bought my CB500X in 2017, i was already under the charm of the Tiger 800 XRT. I always wanted one. I love : the look, the engine (3 cylinders), the specifications, the accessible seat height (810-830 mm), the « low » wet weight (30 kg less than a new V-Strom 1050 XT), the handling, the comfort, the sound, the fit for riding 2 up, the very good suspension travel long length for an adventure bike with a 19 inches front wheel, the adjustable windshield... Fabulous adventure bike for twisty roads, gravel & dirt roads. A great allarounder : commuting, travelling...
@trekkydelirium-vroom58214 жыл бұрын
Adi Novak : You too : congrats! I am sure that you will be very happy with your fully loaded F750GS. I have definitely considered it seriously before buying my Tiger. I also have considered the V85TT & the V-Strom 650 / 1050 XT. Ride safe, live long & Prosper. Best regards! Enjoy you new toy!
@adinovak23524 жыл бұрын
@@trekkydelirium-vroom5821 Thanks and the same to you :-) The reasons you presented for buying Tiger are just like mine when buying BMW :-) Maybe except for off road capabilities. I spend 80-90% of time on asphalt and the remaining 10-20% light gravel/forest. Safe rides and a lot of fun :-)

Loving my new G310GS. It'd be perfect if there was a rally version with 20 liter fuel tank, spoke wheels, proper bash plate and crash bars, more tunable suspension, bring back the ability to turn off the ABS for trail riding, and maybe have a few amenities such as a couple of USB power ports and maybe a pre-wired SAE connector. The G310GS is a great bike for the global market, but there is also a large market for small adventure bikes and many of us would pay 40% more for an upgraded baby GS. I've always ridden single cylinder dual sport bikes in the 250-350 cc class and always wanted a small displacement adventure bike that was elegantly simple but very nicely implemented as only BMW can do. The industry has finally started to fulfill my dream for a small, light and nimble adventure bike. I'm 60 and I still have some adventures ahead of me, but wrestling a larger adventure bike sounds more like work than fun. Based on comments that I read on ADVrider.com and KZbin, there are a lot of us who want an upgraged baby GS.

@@bmwmotorrad - Thank you for your reply. I wish I could buy a BMW factory configured bike with these more advanced features for US$10,000. When we see many people buying a new G310GS and spending US$5000 on aftermarket parts to upgrade it, it's obvious they didn't buy a larger displacement GS because they couldn't afford to purchase it. Sure, the larger bikes are better suited to longer distance highway travel, but that's not my idea of adventure. Tje G310GS is definitely capable of highway travel but it's much better on rural secondary roads, dirt roads and wooded trails. That's my version of adventure. A center stand would also be a welcome upgrade, and a factory option for heated grips. Thank you for making these wonderful dteam fulfilling adventure machines.

Please change the policy of 850 engine manufacture in China to manufacturing it in Europe with European parts. It’s stopping me from buying one. If I wanted Chinese manufacture I would by a Chinese bike and be happy. I want a German Bmw made in Germany or at least Rotax in Austria

Come on BMW Motorrad! Celebrating 40 Years GS without any concrete hint about e special Flat-Twin model? What about the color palette of the R1250GS for model 2021? Remaining the same as of model 2020? At least one or two new basic colors, is this asked too much? With the introduction of the new R1250GS, the GS-Community expected a change in design ... and was deceived. The R1250GS is your cash-cow, don't forget to feed it!

First bike was great the original 800 nice and light GS has gone backwards since I now have a t700 and I'm surprised how many ex gs owners are riding t7 . Come on BM sure have your 1200 with bells and whistles but the 850 should not have done the same it is effectively just as heavy
