Celebrating GOLDFINGER SIXTY YEARS and James Bond 007 at Burlington Arcade

September 17th 2024 marked the 60th anniversary of the release of Goldfinger, the third James Bond film, which in many ways set the template for the films that followed.
To mark the occasion, EON Productions and Burlington Arcade hosted an evening to celebrate all things Goldfinger, and I feel incredibly honoured to have been invited.
The event was nothing short of spectacular, with Bond alumni in attendance, lasers, gold Aston Martin DB5s hanging from the ceiling, music from a live DJ, and signature drinks from Belvedere, Blackwell Rum, Champagne Bollinger, and Macallan. We were treated to incredible gold leaf-decorated food, wonderful conversations, surprises, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
Not only were we celebrating Goldfinger and all things Bond, but also the grand opening of THE 007, a brand-new installation featuring two exclusively designed bars. Open from 18 September until 31 December, fans can enjoy a touch of 007 with signature cocktails specially crafted in collaboration with Belvedere, Blackwell Rum, Champagne Bollinger, and Macallan. Visitors can also discover iconic movie props such as Oddjob’s hat, a Fort Knox gold bar, Goldfinger’s golf shoes, and the spyhole clock from his private plane, which have never been exhibited before.
