I’d rather spend the $$$ on a Lock & Co. Hatters Trilby, but I’m not a collector. Props to David in working to keep content coming during this massive dry spell in all things Bond. That must not be easy.

Goldfinger is THE Bond film as far as I'm concerned, and both the film and the book are part of the reason I fell in love with America. It's also just a great movie. I cite Goldfinger at least once a week as THE example of when a screenplay improved upon the novel it was adapted from.

Can't believe it's 60 years old. I first saw Goldfinger as a double feature with Dr.No in 1974.

@davidrixson2654 Yeah, in the '70's from .72 on into late .'70's, I'd go and see, at an old big theater, THUNDERBALL and DIAMONDS are forever. Loved the way the Marquee had it up there in huge letters. The drive-ins also would have a James Bond Triple, sometimes quadruple bill-- FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE...we'd get out of there at 3am!! Good times. I feel, not sorry, but I regret that the kids have not had that communal and quality experience of watching Film on the Big Screen.

I love the ejector seat button, and thanks for the ASMR mention! LoL. It would be cool to have one you could replace your actual gear shifter in your car with. That hat is a museum piece and you definitely have the perfect setup for it to be displayed.

Very neat! The first 3 bond films are excellent but Goldfinger has everything. I personally feel like Goldfinger is the 007 standard as to what a Bond film should be like and include.

I am flabbergasted how impressive this Oddjob bowler hat is! Factory Entertainment have surpassed themselves here, the metal rim, the stands and the case 👌 I've still got to acquire the golden gun (my favourite of all the Bond props) Thank you David/ The Bond Experience for a wonderful video! 💯

Great video, David. Goldfinger is so iconic, I liked the ejector button more than I thought. It could come in handy at meetings. Oddjobs hat was massive. If that was to scale, I didn't realise how big his head was in the film.

Happy 60th Anniversary to the London premiere of "Goldfinger" on September 17, 1964. The UK-wide release happened the following day on September 18, 1964. Unfortunately, the USA release didn't occur until December 22, 1964, so American fans had to wait just a little over three months to see this great film. I personally think that "Goldfinger" is the best Bond film ever! I was born just five months before "Goldfinger" was released, but as a young child in the 1970's, I quickly became a Bond fan and was lucky to see "Live and Let D*e" and "The Man with the Golden G*n" when each debuted in theaters. Sean Connery was and still is the quintessential James Bond. Roger Moore was great as well, but he played Bond in a completely different style from Connery. I am looking forward to Bond number 26, and I hope they won't alter the formula from what has worked successfully for the last 62 years.
