The legendary singer has electrified "GMA" for over 40 years with live performances, candid interviews and even taking ABC News' Diane Sawyer inside her home in 2000 for a singing and cooking lesson.

She was a down to earth person is what I liked about her. She didn't forget where she came from and looked out for the people who needed help. We need more people like her in the world.

Barbara Henderson I believe it. She reminds me of my great aunt who passed away 9yrs ago. She was the glue that kept the family together. Family reunions were fun when she was alive. When she passed away we went down hill.

It`s a shame some of these rare Aretha clips that have been posted lately are being removed like the rare 60 minutes interview that she did with Ed Bradley. I watched it the other day and now it`s gone. Is there a way these youtube videos can be saved ? I have a feeling this one will be removed too.

how did she look so young for so many years . In 1998 and looked younger than 1986
@shihlin16 жыл бұрын
Beautiful Woman Yeah, but look how great and thin she was in '86 in that interview with the male reporter. She looked much heavier in '98.

Why did she and the 2nd husband break up?
@shihlin16 жыл бұрын
No disrespect to Aretha, but I was quite shocked at seeing how heavy she was 15-20 years ago. Her weight has been all over the place cuz in the '80s as seen here she looked fantastic! She finally lost all that weight in the last few years. Unfortunately it was due to pancreatic cancer that she kept hid from everybody.
@christhomas57614 жыл бұрын
shihlin1. well she gave up smoking during the early 1990`s and that`s when she started picking up weight . She actually stayed small in size up until the early 90`s...... It`s sad when she started losing all the weight due to illness over the last several years but I admire her for pushing through her illness with a positive attitude. Aretha was a strong woman.
