@franciscopacobarreras927028 күн бұрын
Darnold likely asks for as much or more than Brock. It’s how today’s contracts go. 50 is base salary for starting NFL QB, if Mahomes were to sign his contract this year I He’d likely get upwards of 65. It’s ridiculous, but, it’s the reality. We’d be lucky to sign Brock for 50, or 55. I’d consider that a discount.
@JakeTheSnake50028 күн бұрын
@franciscopacobarreras9270 I'm actually thinking Minn might change their mind and keep Darnold if he can lead them deep into the playoffs. We have so many highly paid, injury prone players, we almost have to have a QB on a rookie contract. So, I'd rather have JJM from Minn over Brock at $60. But I like the #'s you suggest. Hopefully his agent won't talk him out of a fair deal.

Three first round picks can be parlayed into a lot of picks. Loosing them has led to the 49ers needing to rebuild. Losing Bosa is necessary for rebuilding and cap space. I also foresee Samuels moving on, which equals more cap space, which will be needed for Purdy. Oh, the QB I would target is Glen Beck out of Georgia, not to replace Purdy, but to give the 49ers an option in four years and a quarterback that can play in the rain.

I am so tired of this crap from DB’s getting butt hurt for getting when Jennings dominates them in a block so they respond by goating Jennings into a personal foul by taking a cheap shot at him. The exact same thing happened against Detroit last week, but it was even worse. Jennings blocked his man through the end zone and almost into the seats UNTIL THE WHISTLE, but as soon as the play was over Jennings let go and started walking back. The DB had his pride hurt so he smacked Jennings and tried to start a fight but he still tried to walk away and the ref gave them off setting penalties. I’m sorry but when did blocking until the whistle become a penalty? If these guys don’t like that don’t let him pancake you. It’s ridiculous, Jennings has always been a great blocker and there are multiple examples of him blocking guys into the stadium. I’m pretty sure he even did it to KC in the Super Bowl and there was no whistle. Now if a guy gets his butt kicked within the boundaries of a game DB’s are starting fights and getting BS penalties thrown on Jennings instead of just not getting blocked like a little b*tch. Are they going to start telling guys they can’t block until the whistle anymore? That once you have successfully blocked a player well enough you have to let up? It’s all so stupid
@freds.940728 күн бұрын
Where did you watch that play? Jennings keep pushing out bounds after the play was over, was going to get a penalty, but then a lion player came and push him down. That what caused offsetting penalties. You can't rewrite what millions saw on TV. 😂😂😂
@greglyon140227 күн бұрын
I am in a small minority that think the Niners will be back in the playoffs next season and make a run for the Super Bowl. Why? First, the Niners will work out a fair deal with Purdy who I think leaves some money on the table to help the team and get his deal done quickly. Second, Niners will heal and all the other things that happened to derail this past season should not happen again. No team had a season like this past season and while injuries will happen, the other things like 1st round pick getting shot should not. Receiving corp should be fine with Aiyuk, Pearsall, Jennings, etc. Running backs should be fine with CMC, Mitchell, Mason, Guerendo, etc. Although we should prepare for the worst with CMC done playing. I like Guerendo after he started opening his eyes and seeing the holes. Nevertheless, Mitchell, Mason, Guerendo, and Steward have it covered. TE is in good hands. The Niners just need to upgrade the O-line and find a kicker. Can Moody be the guy with a good holder? Losing Mitch definitely affected his kicking. The Niners need to focus on the defense. Good defenses make your QB better. Need a tackle, edge, linebacker, and CB. So I expect the Niners to draft those four along with two offensive linemen with their six picks in the first four rounds. After that, they can fill in where needed. I do not expect the Niners to take an offensive lineman in the first round. I expect them to address edge. But at 11, you should take the guy that falls to them be it WR - McMillian, CB - Johnson, DL - Graham, LB - Carter. Last year it was Brock Bowers who fell to 13. Someone good always falls. Why I don't expect the Niners to draft a tackle with the first pick is because you draft outside in except for QB who is the ball distributor. That means WR, CB, and Edge until the there is a talent disparity. You want defensive tackles who can plug the line and push it back. You want offensive linemen to hold their block for 3-4 seconds. Lineman don't have to be all-pro to do that. If a guy like Graham drops, you grab him to improve your def line. If he doesn't fall, you grab an edge rusher. Six picks in the first four rounds of the draft to add to last year's crop of Mustapha, Guerendo, Green, Pearsall, Puni and Cowing is twelve young additions to a talented team. With their easy schedule next season and continuity on the coaching staff, there is no reason to not expect the playoffs.
