I so enjoyed your donkeys eating the pears. Our two horses, Sugar and Spice, really liked fruit, too. Sugar's favorite was watermelon. She was a black/white pinto so the watermelon would stain her white lips pinkish/red. It made her quite fashionable. What a joy animals are. Please include me in your drawing. Especially talking about the beauty of aging because I've not considered my ever creepy skin as beautiful lately, but through your words God spoke to me and I cannot deny that what He makes isn't beautiful! Jeri, Zinnias were my mothers favorite flower. Love that bumble bee, almost looks drunk on the pollen! My sunflowers in New Hampshire are just heading up. We are in the woods and I am on a mission to attract all kinds of bees > Mason > Leaf Cutter > wild > bumble & honey bee....ANYONE who will show up! Planting Borage and Buck wheat and wild flowers. This is a newly established garden. A labor of the heart! I heard those geese before I saw them :-) I raised Toulouse and adored them. We have fox, black bear, bob cat, etc. Not sure how I could keep them safe. Those are happy donkeys! Perhaps my watercolor paints will arrive in time for me to paint the sunflowers in their glory! Lovely Birds of the Garden. I'm a year late !

The Geese would surely be at risk with all your predators, we have fox, but the dogs keep them at bay. We get all manner of bees, I love seeing the teeny ones skittering about the Zinnias.

The journeys through the story of your gardens are a balm to my soul. Last year saw me leave a country garden alive with Blue Wrens, Sparrows, Swallows, King Parrots, Eastern Rosella's, Galahs, Black Cockatoos, Major Mitchell parrots, Magpies, Fig Birds and Doves, to a small sub-tropical island with Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and Curlews, both of them masters of raucous noise. Those beautiful butterflies brings back the memories of yesterday. We lived out where a lot of woods were.my uncles farmed all the land on both sides if the road. My mother got me a butterfly net and away I went.i spent my time in fields of Timothy.. alfalfa,chasing those butterflies.i went clear back to the settlement that was away from the house.i can remember this.just like the wide open prarie

The deep nests look like Carolina Wren nests. They love my porch. I found one nest inside my folding chair storage bag, beause I didnt close it all the way and also inside a hanging basket. Sometimes they sleep in my porch eaves in the fall/winter. Peaches are my favorite too! However, I love homemade pear preserves.

Jeri, I needed your video this morning...I was raised to invite the birds into my garden by my grandparents & parents. I’ve even modeled my garden after them where I’ve placed lovely feeders out my kitchen sink window so that I can watch the birds while I work at canning, cooking and washing the dishes. Aren’t they such magnificent little creatures? I was very recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and am dealing with a lot of stuff because of it...your video made me think of this verse which helps me on days where I’m feeling worried for what the future holds & overwhelmed by it all: Matthew 6:26 NLT “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?” It gives a person such joy and hope to watch the birds of the fields. Thank-you for reminding me also that gnarled, contorted and wrinkly things are still beautiful and useful...at 45 I’m worried for how this disease will affect my future self...and the time you took to marvel at the “past-it’s-prime” sunflower gives me hope that even when it starts getting tough going for me...there is still beauty & that He will still find me useful and will continue to care for me. 💗 Thank-you for your hard work in doing your lovely videos....I am always inspired by them. 💜🌿🦋🕊🌻🐝🌸 P.S.
