Matt and Tipper, just wanted you to know that you are a calming, healing presence. I am not young and live alone. I started feeling sick 2 days ago. Last night my temp went up and I had a lot of pain. It was too late to go to a Dr, (we really don't have many MD's here anymore. I am a RN, so I don't feel like going to another RN), so I stayed at home. I couldn't get any relief except Tylenol.. I thought I had to do something to get calm, so I turned to Celebrating Appalachia, because your voices are calming. So I got your show, some ginger ale and saltines. In about 30 minutes I felt so much better. So your easy calm voices and interesting talk about gardening made me feel better. Today I don't have a fever. Still resting in bed and watching Corie and Austin. What a pleasant gift from God you've received. A calm presence and soft voice is a blessing.😘It felt like home.

I live not too far from McKee Bakery who makes Little Debbies. I applied there when I was young. People stay there until they retire. My daddy had a big tin of an assortment of Little Debbie’s. My little nieces and nephews would toddle over, too short to see up on the counter but they would strain to reach because they knew the Little Debbie’s were in that tin. You could say “Daddy, he doesn’t need another one”. My daddy would say “Leave that baby alone. He wants it”: My daddy grew up extremely poor so giving his family things and spoiling babies made him happy. I miss my parents.

Great to hear that Ganny's feeling better day by day, so glad she's home. I like watching the old shows to see the faces of some of the big stars during their early days. And now days the old shows are all we have because there are really no shows on, mostly all the fake reality shows.

So glade to hear Granny is feeling better. We always have at least 2 cups of chicken bone broth each day helps getting your strength back. I always add onions celery, carrots, peppers to my bone broth…I strain my broth and use the vegetables by adding some potatoes and us my chopper to chop all vegetables and make a cream soup, like you would make potato soup.

So true ! The Cycle of Life goes on and on. We say hello to new life and are just as intrigued by how amazing babies are as we were the first time we ever knew one. We say farewell to those who have come to the end of their days, saying “ see you soon”. And we wonder what the days of our lives will bring to us, trusting it all to God.

I love your laugh Tipper, and the expressions Matt uses! Watching your videos is like visiting with precious family. Praise the Lord Granny is doing better. My parents, “Mommaw and Poppaw”, kept a white Tupperware box with Little Debbie cakes in their pantry. All their grandchildren enjoyed those cakes often. They definitely aren’t healthy, but I am thankful for the memories we have of those treats. The grandchildren are grown and my daddy is in Heaven now. I keep Outshine bars for my grandsons and hope one day they smile and have fond memories of them and time spent at Grandma and Granddad’s house.

Tipper, I cooked our first fresh rattlesnake beans, fresh peach cobbler, and English peas this week. I have a small raised bed garden with squash, zucchini, tomato’s,cucumber, baby bush okra, bell peppers and jalapeño. Reddoordoc who sends you his paintings each Sunday is my neighbor and employer of 28 years. I was his office nurse and we both retired and he sold his practice. He works continually in his garden and greenhouses and provides us with lots of fresh produce. We have green tomatoes, squash and zucchini, but no male plants to pollinate have bloomed so we will lose the first squash and zucchini. I’m so happy Granny and you are home, continued prayers for you all.❤️🙏

I've been planting alligator and pinto beans for years and have found,if you pick them when the pods turn yellow, they will be a lots better. Dried beans develope a lot of gas and,the beans will shrink more when cooked.I wash and freeze mine when cooked, and they have the best texture, taste and flavor, compared to dry beans. Pick some when they're yellow and cook them and I believe you'll love them.Just an idea from experience. Love your family and your channel. May God bless you all.Thanks.

I think the thing about Little Debbie cakes was when we were young, they were easy to grab if you were stopping at the gas station or the like and needed a snack. As we get older, I think we just don't do that running around and eating snacks like we did. Or at least I don't. I like a honey bun or Swiss Roll every once in a while but hardly ever buy them these days.
