Not gonna lie.... I teared up through this video, even at the end of the Pass it On. James has always been a part of Sorted as long as I've watched this channel. I remember when in his early days he'd be in there for two secs and then all the comments would be about getting more of James on screen. I'd almost forgotten that James wasn't there since day 1. We're gonna miss you sooo much James. Please be back as much as possible.

They all deserve 9’s. This is the first pass it on where everyone worked together as if they all had the same recipe in front of them. They each did their part whether it was busy work or waiting. Were there missteps? Yes, but there was no real miscommunication or upsets. Well done! Especially for James’s last pass it on. We’ll miss you, James.

Imfeel like they do better with more specific briefs. When its more general or vague they have competing idea. Here, they had to make a cake and restricting with celebration meant we didnt get someone going for a crabcake or Barry switching to an icecream cake or something.

Yeah, omg Barry got stuck with 2 highly stressful rounds and felt bad he didn't get to add anything but he saved every element that was going to over cook, and he also saved it with the rose. Then Mike did a decent job decorating and a great job stacking and layering the cake that he had the foresight to start early on. I think they tend to score themselves quite low when the experience caused them anxiety, but they actually did very good on this challenge.

I hate the fact that Mike is so critical of himself, I think that the small dribbles of the ganache looked quite good because it kept the vibrant pink frosting on show, and he did spectacularly to get the cake batter made for a quick start to such a special PIO

there are some really deep lessons that come out of this format, becuase youre essentially constructing a language within a skill that is usually personal or communicated with words. So you end up thinking things like "i'm gonna make this because they will recognize it" You find what you want to "say", but you have to say it using the closest approximmation that the person youre "speaking" to will be able to understand
