Pensacola Florida was founded before St. Augustine. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited city. Pensacola was founded and later abandoned before being started up again.

Recently got back from the Daytona Turkey Hot Rod run in Thanksgiving weekend I haven’t been down to Daytona in about 30 years. ( I have visited Florida several times within that timeframe just not Daytona ) Just wow . I live beside Amelia Island in Yulee. You can drive on the beach and it's dog friendly. We got a pirate town like St. Aug called Fernandina and the houses are about 50k cheaper. It's pretty much St. Augustine without all the tourist stuff.
