I'm no fan of these public displays from celebrities either, but lumping all entertainers together and claiming that the world doesn't need them is a pile of shit too. Millions of people have been stuck at home for a year. Like it or not, but TV, movies and music has made this far more bearable, so I thinks it's way off the mark to suggest that if they all just vanished that no one would miss them. This world has gone crazy! Substitution of historical facts, family values, national traditions, lifestyle and more and more and more ... I'm 40 and I'm Russian but I'm damn glad to hear an American guy who says the right thing. My deceased grandma told me some times: Denis, there are no bad people in the world, there is only bad education and bad influence from outside! Greetings from Russia. You are good bro!

Right? As though we're somehow responsible for the Atlantic slave trade because we share the same skin color as people who did bad stuff 100s of years ago. That logic is so demented and ass-backward that I don't even know where to begin. The worst part is that this stuff comes from people who should know better. Just goes to show that we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past forever.

every once in a while i go back to Charlie Chaplin's speech from the Great Dictator, just to remind me how a great human used to think and feel in the time of black and white and mute movies era, where delivering a great speech was all about class, intelligence, well chosen "words" and a ton of insight into the world and society. and also how that guy used to convey his deep insightful messages only through class acting and gestures of his body and face.
