Stephen J Cannell was one of the best ever. I watched all of his shows. Remember his little ending after his shows, sit boo boo sit.

Boo boo!? That's UBU, a different production company, Cannell was famous for himself writing up a story on his typewriter!

Now Glen A. Larson and Stephen J. Cannell are reunited in TV's Great Beyond- Universal had both of them as staff producers, many years ago!!!

He was such a prolific writer and producer that back in the 80's there was a line going around that NBC stood for: Nothing But Cannell. That actually wouldn't be a bad idea for a cable channel.

Ben Vereen and Jeff Goldblum starred in Cannell's series Ten Speed and Brownshoe. It is the first time in more than 30 years since I've seen them together.

I wish that Johnny Depp was there (since he and Robinson did "21 Jump Street") and I really wished that somebody from "Hunter" to show up. Hell, I wanted Mike Post to show up!

@Talljim01 That was UBU Productions, Gary David Goldberg's (Family Ties) company. Stephen J. Cannell's was of course him typing away on a typewriter and then flinging away the paper.

RIP Mr Cannell. He made epic shows. Where is Jack Coleman?

I remember I think it was a beer commercial he did, set in Ireland, where he makes a comment about the "Kings English" and it doesn't go over well as part of the humor of it since they are supposed to be in Ireland, I was looking for that on here and saw this, Steve was/is so cool.

Thanks for posting ~ This guy's tv credits as a writer literally are the landscape of our childhood. He was prolific!!! Do you know some of the shows he's written on???
