Worked with them (as an admin grunt) in the 90's, it can be hard for them to have these kind of real moments because of security concerns, random wackos who don't respect boundaries, but yeah, they often miss being able to just be "one of the folks" and will take what opportunities they can, particularly the ones who paid heavy dues on the way to success, from what I experienced.

But yeah the cynical side of me says their PR rep arranged for it to happen, in some cases. We'll probably never know.
