I get embarrassed when I don't bathe and shower on a regular basis!!!😮😢 😩 And I make less than $50,000 a year!!!! I take pride in my appearance!!!! Even though I am not that attractive!!! I like to look professional and smell decent! Even if Im not going to WORK ! I still take a showers on my day offs!!!😮 I still take showers before I go out in public! There is no need of an extensive grooming to smell good. They just need to take a shower, brush their teeth and use a good deodorant. And for method acting in historic settings, same thing goes. People did wash themselves as often as they could and perfume was used in ancient Egypt and Babylon. People used oils as well, herbs and various fruits such as lemon. People washed themselves in rivers and lakes and many ancient cultures such as the Persians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Chinese and Japanese washed themselves in public baths. I think it's a myth that in all cultures in history people smelled bad.

OK, I can understand “METHOD ACTING”. They don’t use modern cleansing products. So after the day’s shoot, do they go to their air conditioned homes and other modern amenities. Is it rather they are lazy or just don’t care.

I had a few years where I was around “beautiful people “ primarily women. Their hygiene was horrible. They did not have a concern about showering, they would pick their noses, they lacked social awareness that normal people have. I came to a conclusion after watching how the “normal” people would give them a pass because of their looks. This was especially true when normal looking men were around these women. I watched as one of these women picked her nose in front of a couple of guys, rolled it around and looked at it and then wiped it under her chair. Nobody said a thing. A normal person would have been ostracized for this…

Some of these people aren’t doing it to put others off it’s a lack of parental guidance. Some of these actors were child actors and were not properly educated on etiquette. I had a mother that was never around so me and my siblings had no one to teach us proper usage of utensils even. I had to learn from my friends or my boyfriends on how to hold my fork or spoon and even cut meat. We all thought of meals as first come first fed so we grabbed and ate as fast as we could. So I’ve noticed that while growing up the differences in other peoples homes and how to be more civilized. So I can understand why some people are not societal norms.

I think its really sweet of people to express such things in a media like this. How else would we know being insignificant, poor nobodies, that have no celebrity value to the country, know that Movie Stars and TV celebrities that we drool over, are people just like us. They actually sweat, fart, and smell of that burger that had onion on it. Celebrities, don't have feelings, they can't be embarrassed, they don't have anything to do but look fabulous and smell of roses. Only commoners smell and its ok because we were in the heat and hustled to get to the place to see a glimpse of them. Co Stars complained knowing how easy it is to cast shadows on other Stars so they feel as important as the Main Star. It's nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

I think telling them they stink awful will have no impact on them at all. Somone has probably told them and they are so full of themselves they’ll not do a thing about it. People who are allowed to be like this as kids have it embedded with this by parents who act the same way. You don’t have to shower everyday but a quick military bath at the bathroom sink and deodorants that are safe plus power will make you good. I think parenting in this area is a must while growing up..

I worked for a car dealership we had a lot porter who stunk so bad a young kid hel stunk so bad that when he got into a. @@margaretschaffner9133 Of course they can afford to deodorize costumes. But a lot of responsibilities are delayed or overlooked for various reasons. I worked for Northwestern Costume company right out of high school. They provided costumes for my state’s regional theaters which made great profit. I saw costumes reworked, realtered and accidentally found after years of being misfiled. I was initially amazed at their inventory and how heavy those costumes can be. Who knows, maybe JD wore the costume off the lot too often for them to be intercepted for maintenance. The costume was supposed to be low-maintenance, scruffy. Do you know any ex-smokers who admit, after quitting, that they had no idea how much the smoke permeated their surroundings?
