It's fun watching this old bowling show. Almost all of these people are gone now, but I find myself cheering for them anyway, even though the game was over 50 years ago. Gail Fisher especially - she was taking over the game when she played with John Davidson. She rocked.

Wow, quite a compilation! I was around back then, but pretty young, yet I remember most of the bowlers here. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Wow, Virginia Graham, The Lennon Sisters, Batman and Catwoman appeared on the show. Not to forget an Academy Award Winner.

Were these lanes constructed in a studio? Some years they were AMF machines, some years they were Brunswick.

Michael Cole and Tige Andrews won the car for a woman. Cole especially was nailing the strikes. He had incredible concentration.

This show was fun because some bowlers were very good, some very bad, and most in the middle like the rest of us. It was also fun to see how these people dressed in real life - some very weird.

Michael Cole was so intense and he matched that intensity by being REEEEEALLY good! He and Tige Andrews bowled a 266 together, which I believe was the best game of the series. I think the closest to that was Greg Morris and John Beradino with a 206. I'd never watched an episode where Jed Allen would literally STOP talking while someone bowled. Jed and the pro announcing with him literally said that they were worried Michael would throw his ball at them if they didn't shut up while he bowled.

Can you imagine this being revived today? It would all be played for laughs which renders it pointless.

I wonder if Burl Ives ever bowled on a Christmas episode. If so, he should've struck up "A Holly Jolly Christmas." Of course, he was known to act in "The Bold Ones."

Someone recently posted this on Facebook but my computer glitched before I could save it. As a rule I don't watch sports, I find it terribly boring, I'd rather be participating. This brings back a lot of memories as I recognize most of the names and faces. Thank you for allowing us to relive the memories.
