A lot of the skin / beauty brands are just junk. If something works don't fix it stick wth what you know and it is usually much more affordable. .

Now that people are getting tired of celebrity make up and skincare brands, they are moving to haircare (even Balke Lively and her hair being more fried than kfc chicken), they are moving to haircare. What's next ? Cat food ?

A lot of these celebrity founded or endorsed brands, to me, are a bonafide CASH GRAB. With the exception of Fenty Beauty. Why? Cause before Rihanna stepped into the playfield of what is the beauty industry, a lot of people coming from different racial or mixed ethnic backgrounds felt excluded when it came to finding a foundation and/or concealer shade that worked for them. I know of friends who practically had to do basic chemistry homework to find a shade that was remotely close to their skin tone. And a lot of these luxury brands catered mostly to people with light skins, often having up to 12 and sometimes even 15 shades where the darkest shade was ever only pulled off by a white person with a tan. When Rihanna came onboard, she offered 42 shades. Not just darker complexions, but people with olive undertones were able to find a shade with Fenty. This forced this allegedly inclusive industry to step up their game. The best part of Fenty is that it still continues to deliver on quality.
@perspectiveofmeАй бұрын
I completely agree
@seabreeze4559Ай бұрын
as a pale person they don't cater to us either, a shade called porcelain is normally medium ORANGE and pale has a range of undertones from cool olive to warm peachy to neutral to cool purple

If celebrities wanted to have fun creating makeup, they should go back to beauty collabs with already existing beauty brands! They could have their fun, without putting another beauty brand on the market! We don't see collabs with celebrities anymore...

Consumers just seem to be getting dumber and dumber, falling for shallow imagery over substance; they end up overpaying for (sub) mediocre goods because they keep falling for the latest hype. They lack critical/logical thinking.

The only celebrity brand I wanted as a teenager was Stuff by Hilary Duff but none of it sold in the stores in my area. I heard the "With Love" perfume was good but I'm allergic to scents. So, I never got into celebrity branding. I would avoid them if they're associated with celebrities in my adulthood and just buy on quality, good materials and use in everyday life. Quality over brands.

With Love perfume was the BEST

Some of the make-up and skincare products, such as Flower Beauty, Hey Humans Collection (co-founded by Jada Pinkett Smith), Kendall & Kylie travel make-up bag, and other products, have ended up @ the Dollar Tree stores. I have purchased the "Hey Humans" body lotion and body wash from Dollar Tree, costing $1.25 for a 14 fl. oz. (414 mL) container - rather than paying $10-$20 each @ online websites or at Target/Wal-Mart. I'm content with my purchase (I wished I bought more than 1 container of each scent though 🤣 - there were only 3 scents @ my Dollar Tree), the body lotion provides all-day moisture and has a non-greasy, fast-absorbing application + I love the scent of "Banana Aloe".
