Thank you. Great job. It's hard to do a ship tour. I sailed aboard it when it was new and it is way different. It only had one specialty restaurant and it's none of the ones that are on there now. The other change isn't a positive. Michael's Club was for all passengers, not just suite passengers. A lot of the fabrics, colors and stuff have changed so they doing reasonably well maintaining it. I have seen some ratty railings and furnishings in other videos in the staterooms so a more extensive refurbishment will address those.

Since this video is fairly new, can you tell me what shape the ship is in? We're thinking of booking a cruise, but it's an older ship, so we were wondering if it is rundown or in need of repairs. Looks fine in the video, but some reviews seem rather harsh. Thank you. :)

This comes up a lot and some cruisers are way too spoiled with way too many new ships constantly being built. Yes, the ship shows wear. But Celebrity is not the type of line that lets a still relatively young ship get into disrepair. And yes, I say relatively young because this ship is about 21 or 22 years in service and ships should last at least 40 years. Many of them would last 50 years plus. So this ship is sort of middle-aged, not old. I sailed aboard it when it was new and so much of it is changed and new. The only thing that looks original is the dining room and it's spectacular IMO. Rendezvous is different, even the furniture is different. Reflections Lounge is different. And many other areas look fairly recent. I would say the railings look kind of ratty and sometimes you'll find some furnishings scratched or some upholstery getting thin. That happens in any type of hotel or ship or hotels or any place where things get used. But people have to start expecting some wear on ships to show. But if you want a Millennium class ship with less wear showing, try the Millennium or Summit that had more extensive renovations more recently. And I don't like some of the changes.

Yes definitely recommend it. Often you will find crew members including your stateroom host who go above and beyond and they deserve a little extra.!

It's a ship that is retro modern in many areas so most if it won't get dated. In fact, I like this style a lot more than the Edge. Those Edge ships will date a lot faster because they are trendy, not timeless.

This is a nice enough standard ship's tour but it's much like all the rest. What I'd like to see is more detail. I've just disembarked from the NCL Bliss and I didn't like its fitness room, so let me use the fitness room as example for what I'd like to see and hear about - What brand and model are the Constellation machines? Bliss had TechnoGym but the low end models of the TechnoGym line, some without intermediate weight adjustments. What machines are there and more importantly what machines are missing that should be there. Bliss had no abdominal machines at all, a major fail on NCL's part. Is there a good supply of free weights? Bliss had lots of dumbbells and a shortage of barbells, another NCL fail. Is there enough room between the machines and room to use the free weights? Bliss had lots of room for machines but the free weight area was dangerously cramped. People slinging weights of tens or hundreds of pound need room for their own safety and the safety of others and it was not there on the Bliss. Was the place ever too crowded? it was on Bliss, the Bliss gym is just too small for the 4000 passenger size of the ship. What are the busy times? Similar details on the bikes, the aerobic/yoga room (size, use, when are classes, how long are they, do the passengers alike them etc. etc.) You could do intensive and more detailed stuff like I suggest, I'd love it and I think lots of others would too.

So my terms might be off… after a few night drinks I thought some healthy gut cleansing might be 👍🏼good…would I just pay the difference? Thank you for responding.. I personally love the fact that you seem to have so much space for yourself but I wanted to ask. I am considering a Caribbean cruise on this ship in November.

I believe this sailing wasn't anywhere near full capacity. So that helps areas look more spacious as well.

I have been confused about refurbishment. I was told by a Beyond booking agent that it missed a full refurb due to Covid shutdowns. We’re cabins refurbished or just main public areas?

@@CruisetheWorldAtoZ It was not refurbished to the degree of the Millennium or Summit. If you see a ship tour of those ships the dining room, staterooms and other areas like the buffet have extensive refurbishments that this ship does not. In some ways that's both a positive and negative (some of the refurbishments are just dull on those two ships IMO).
