Join us as we look at the Solstice-Class ship, Celebrity Eclipse, during our full ship tour. This ship has NOT been revolutionized, however, it is well maintained and offers all favorite Solstice Class venues. We check out the main dining room, specialty dining venues including Luminae (for Retreat suite guests), Blu (for AquaClass), Tuscan Grill, Murano, and the Chef's Table. I stop by one of my favorite spots on the ship, Cafe al Bacio. The Martini Bar is always a favorite - on Celebrity Eclipse you'll find the Martini Bar at midship on Deck 4. This ship features the Lawn area on Deck 15 aft, including offering Hot Glass Blowing classes throughout your cruise!
From the Solarium and spa to the fitness area forward on Deck 12, to the Entertainment zone and Eclipse Theater on Deck 4, there are so many places on the ship to relax and be entertained.
Among my favorite hang-outs are the comfy lounge chairs on the Promenade (Deck 5), and outside on the top of the ship - check out the Sunset Bar and extra lounge seating on Deck 15 at the aft of the ship. The pool area on Deck 12 is spacious with two decks of pool chairs in both sun and shade areas (Decks 12 and 14).

Thanks for the tour. Celebrity is going to change Cellar Masters into Crafts Social. I think that's kind of unfortunate. I love it as a wine bar and the decor it has now vs. what has happened to ships where it's changed over. It still retains some ambiance but it's changed. You mentioned the design of retro modern for Quasar but that is (was) Celebrity's style. The Martni Bar is retro-modern. The World Class Bar is retro-modern. The Passport Bar, the dining room, the Grand Foyer, all of this is as well. It's just so elegant and somehow pretty intimate at the same time. I think much of this design is timeless, also. About public areas, while I don't mind the Suite people getting their own restaurant I do mind they get Michael's. That was great as a piano bar. Also, I don't like that Celebrity does silent dancing and loud music in the Grand Foyer. Why? They have other areas they could do it like the Sky Lounge. I remember very well when the only music you heard was soft music in the foyer or the music in the speakers that seems to be everywhere. I just want Celebrity to remember its roots. Long before specialty dining they had some of the best food and presentation of any mass market ship. They had some of the best service. And this wasn't on any new high-tech ship, this was on the old Chandris Celebrity Meridian. Deliver the food in the main dining room or rooms on every ship. I don't like the suite perks. Michael's should be for all passengers. I enjoyed Michael's on many Celebrity ships. Michael's lounge here looks original or close to it and revolutionizing it will ruin its rich parlor look. The retreat lounge on the Edge ships look like Ikea compared to this. And I think they've went and ruined a Michael's on a "revolutionized" Soltice ship. These ships shouldn't be altered to be "modernized." They are great as is.

I went on Eclipse in November from Sydney to New Zealand for my 40th birthday, had an amazing time, particularly loved the Ensemble Lounge and Sky Observation Lounge, and I have to say, as someone who uses a wheelchair, it's one of the most accessible ships I've sailed on

Neither of those lounges exist on the Edge class. The Edge class doesn't really have lounges. I like the Solstice ships.

Really enjoyed your tour! I am taking my very first cruise, and, as it just so happens, it's on the Celebrity Eclipse! I feel like I know where everything is now! I'm excited and a little bit nervous, but luckily two people I'm going with are survivors of the U.S.S. Titanic!! .... ok, I lied a little about that, but they ARE experienced cruisers, so that will help me "navigate" my way around. I loved how you gave us a good long view of each area. The ports of call for my trip are the Dominican Replublic, Puerto Rico, and St. Maartin. Guess I better learn some Spanish real quick!

The Solstice-class ships are now dated, and Celebrity doesn't appear to be interested in upgrading them. We were on the Equinox in January, and many areas were in poor shape, particularly the cabins and verandas.

Sorry to hear your experience wasn't exactly what you hoped for. It's interesting with Celebrity - so many customers just LOVE the Solstice Class ships and aren't always looking for the upgrades, especially in the color schemes, wood treatments, etc. Many of our customers report their Solstice class ship cruises seem well-maintained and very clean so they're happy with the class of ship they've grown used to enjoying, even though they aren't the newest ships in the fleet. Hopefully they'll address wear in the cabins. It's good for cruisers that there is variety - within the Celebrity fleet and with newer ships from other cruise lines. You may find the Edge Class ships from Celebrity to be much newer in layout and design features - very up-to-date.

@@FloridaGiGiShe deserves to shine, the video production is holding here back. If the videographer is her husband maybe she should divorce him j/k. Also, your values aren't universal. So why should I adhere to what your mommy told you? I rather provide truthful feedback than be inconsequential. That's what death is for.
