We experienced the Edge last Sept. in the Med. It was amazing. Not only for decor, food and entertainment, but we arranged and renewed our vows on the sailing. The staff surprised us with many extras not expected. They went above board and it made for a more memorable cruise then an y other before and after.

Thank you so much for this awesome video of Celebrity Edge. It is the best one I have seen so far. We are sailing on the Crown Princess Nov. 26th for the Transpacific Hawaiian 16 day cruise round trip from San Francisco, but we are also sailing on Celebrity Edge May 24th of 2024 round trip from Seattle to Alaska and can’t wait. We will be in the Magic Carpet Suite and will throughly enjoy The Retreat amenities, including Luminae. This will be our second time to Alaska, the first was on the Coral Princess where we did the land and the sea 14 day south through Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier. It was the trip of a life time!

Spent 3 weeks on Edge cruising the Med in 2019 and absolutely loved it. So much so that I’ve booked a 10 day Aussie cruise on her next month. Your wonderful video has re-familiarised me with everything onboard. Will be interested to see what changes there are from the recent dry dock.

Hi dnelson7355, thanks for watching. AquaClass only gives you access to BLU for breakfast and dinner (its not open for lunch). For me it's one of the best perks in AquaClass. You still have access to the main dining room if you wish as well as the Ocean Cafe and you can also book any of the specialty restaurants for an up charge.

We are booked to sail on Celebrity Edge in Jan 24 from Sydney. It looks like most if not all onshore excursions are already booked up. Does anyboby know wether its easy to find these same excursions on shore when disembarking ship.Mainly the Jungle trip & cable car trip. By the way great video.

Hi colinhamilton8046, thanks for watching. I had my kids 10 & 13 on my last cruise in March on the Edge. We were on the 10 night intensive port itinerary, so we were off the ship for several full days. When onboard, my kids liked the scavenger hunts and trivia that we did as a family, shows, ping pong, and just hanging out, They never went to the kids clubs at all. For dining we did many nights at specialty venues, but ate at all included ones as well and there was no issue finding something, even for my picky eater. Buffet is awesome and don't forget the pizza at the back area.

Hi Chris! We were on the Apex last November for a repositioning cruise.. . Is Edge going to be in dry dock for an update? We loved the Apex and the Edge class.

Hi Ari, Celebrity Edge is due for a dry dock. Cruise ship are required to dry dock every 5 years, which for Edge is coming up this November. Haven't heard anything about a pending out of service period, but it is likely coming soon.

Do you know where on the ship is the smoking area? I noticed the website says the ship is non-smoking but they understand that some people may smoke so they’ve designated certain areas for smoking. But they did not state for sure.

Hi SC-qy6if, thanks for watching. Port side on Deck 5, exterior section of Eden has a smoking area, Deck 14 just forward of Pool Bar, there are stairs up to Deck 15 which is an area is also designated for smokers. Lastly, starboard side, Deck 15 aft Sunset Bar area.

Chris, for tendering, does Edge use its own lifeboats or are they carrying their own specific tendering boats with them as well?

HI scottcald, thanks for watching. The Edge class ships actually carry both standard lifeboats and the Edge launches used for tendering ashore. All would be used in case of emergencies, but only the comfortable launches would be used with the magic carpet and destination gateway.

Im torn between this cruise ship or the norwegian encore and possibly discovery princess. Im 29 so i still love things like Go karts and mini golf like the encore has but i also like shows and great food which it seems u cant beat on this ship.
