Thanks for this episode on Mac Daddy. I was in high school when they came out. The clothes backwards, their music was all over the radio, back when MTV and BET was playing music videos, were awesome. I miss that era of music. So happy I grew up during that time. It hurts my heart that Chris Kelly died. Seems like he couldn't fight off his demons. A part of my childhood died that day on 2013. Glad they came together for So So Def's 20th anniversary just before that fateful day. That was exciting to see, but turned put to be their farewell to the world. Rest in music Mac Daddy. Thanks for what you and Daddy Mac did for the world of music. I hope you are happy, rapping in the heavenly choir.

His death bothers me to this day. I remember listening to Kris Kross when I a kid in 6th grade. When their first album dropped it was a wrap. Jump was the bomb and it sounds just as fresh as the day it was recorded. Fame and money comes with problems that no one is fully prepared for no matter what time in history we are in. I can play jump and just smile and the memories of my childhood come flooding back. Happy memories happy times. I remember in middle school where there was a city wide canned food drive in SF, CA and the school that had the most food Kris Kross would perform. My school didn’t win but it was fun to do and we had a dance instead and played Jump as the first song. Keep up the great work.

As far as IV coke use, it just felt like my heart was fixing to burst out my chest, and a nice, warm, calming shot of dope would be all the more neccessary after that.
