I have a quick ODB story, one day I was on the bus on my way to the train to go to work, of all places, I see this guy, he was sitting on the back of the bus, talking to one of his friends without being mobbed for autographs or anything, he was having an animated argument with his friend when he said, “yo, fuck that, I will bring it to anyone I don’t give a fuck, even you.”Even in public, there’s no filter to this man.. (I would’ve thought he’d be in a cab or even driving in his own car as opposed to the bus even though this was very mid 1994.)

Is it documented or some woke bs from self hating African Americans? Sounds like he suffered from depression, family abuse/neglect and mental illnesses which caused his demise but yall don't wanna talk about that. He was showing problems as a kid but noooo....self hating African Americans claim we ain't African descended but we're Indigenous to Americas. Hate to break it to ya but delusional self hating people are not a threat. The real threat comes from people who are proud of their origins and are stealing from the US, Europe to empower their own countries and people....India and China! Now that's the real threat....they practically own Silicon Valley, California and Vancouver British Columbia Canada and their power is spreading. The only African Americans that are a threat are those who are proud of and connected to their African origins and to the motherland. They noticed this and put a stop to it in the 70s!

I remember seeing on MTV with the food stamps episode. I was shocked and was thinking what happened to all his money from his record sales. Great work as usual and excellent research. A lot of dudes in his age range have health problems and suffered from depression he should have been treated for mental illness. Recreational drug use and mental illness don’t mix. Didn’t know he was in Clinton Correction Facility. He should have been in county jail and in rehab while he was there. It’s sad that he did not get the treatment he needed.

The man, the myth, the legend. ODB will forever live in our hearts and minds as the greatest to ever do it. Til this day, he still receives the utmost respect from current day rappers such as Gucci Mane. When I was a child ODB became my favorite superhero after hearing of the story of him lifting that car off that little girl. In typical superhero fashion, when the little girl’s mother entered the hospital room to thank Dirty, just like that, into thin air he disappeared. I hollered! No one ever or even comes close to his spunk and originality. This was the vid I didn’t even know I needed. Truth be told N*gga Please is my absolute favorite hip hop album until this very day. Last year it was announced that N*gga Please went 💎 . What a remarkable achievement for a remarkable presence. Rest in power to the iconic ODB

Method was far more talented than ODB! Ol Dirty was a decent rapper, but he was a character, like Flavor Flav
