Celeste Farewell Golden Strawberry Complete! (Nintendo Switch)

Well this has been a long time coming I started practicing this on september 9th 2019 and spend a total of over 142 hours playing just this level. This is by far the hardest thing ive done in any video game ever and probally will be for a while, this challenge is just so f*cking difficult because of its immense length and caused me alot of frustration to just dying to dumb stuff or lag spikes 8 minutes in to the golden and all of that kinda contributed to this quite extreme reaction xd. Also about why im just walking back and forth at certain screen transitions, there are these consistent lag spikes on the nintendo switch version that happen if you dont die for a long time so I kinda have to work around those by waiting them out at certain parts so they cant kill me cause at first before I realised I could do this the lag spikes got me extremely frustrated and got me close to giving up but im glad I didnt and neither should you ever give up on whatever youre trying to do!

Haha thanks alot! Yeah I kinda tried to explain this run and what I was doing to my parents and even though they didnt quite understand how difficult it actually was I still figured I would tell them I finally beat it.

Hey, I'm working on getting this done on Switch. Do you remember experiencing lag spikes after Determination? I didn't see any here, with the possible exception of the transition at 20:23 (which looked more like a skip in the video).

Yep for sure I experienced those lag spikes too, its a switch thing where the game lag spikes you after not dying for a while. What I did for it as you can see in the video at 5:37, 9:26 and 13:31 and as you can see what I did to prevent them from screwing me over is at around the parts where I knew they would happen I went back and forth between the screen transition until I saw the lag spike happen and then continued. If you play around the same speed as me they should happen around the same parts and else you can probably learn overtime where exactly the best place for you to wait them out would be. Good luck on your runs its a pretty insane challenge!

@@ParrotDash Yeah, I've been using your successful run as a guide on when to expect them. The first lag spike is a bit erratic for me (perhaps because I don't do key skip), but I'm usually able to forcibly synchronize so that I bait out the second and third at the same spots as you. So far, I've gotten two attempts to Reconciliation. Let's hope that I get it done sooner rather than later.

Why do you go into the top room at 13:45? The checkpoint that it sets wouldn't have mattered even if you died because fwg, and you can use the block from the previous room to set up the pixel for the drop into the spikes.

I personally didnt like having the block in the way, it felt weird to me at the time id rather just have it be a free opening to fall down where i want
