Its taken me some time to decide a winner, at first I thought Yumeko won because she was mocking Celeste the whole way through, and most people were saying she burned Celeste. But when actually analyzing the lyrics objectively, Yumeko repeats a lot of her lines, while Celeste goes more in depth and uses wordplay more often. So I honestly gotta give it to Celeste she felt more calculated.

What a wonderful battle ! The beat is very catchy and great on a rewatch. As a Danganronpa fan I think Yumeko definetely took this one. She pressed all of Celeste's berserk buttons while being unfazed about the disses aimed at her. Although I don't like how the game treated Celeste's character, I think you showcased exactly how she would react if these two were to meet, with her sticking with an accent in the beginnig and the going back to her normal voice the exact moment Yumeko starts corner even slightly. Again, great battle should probably check out Kakegurui soon.

Been waiting for this, glad to see it finally drop! Comment’s a little late, I had to watch this over and over again because at first I couldn’t decide on a winner lol… After quite a bit of rewatches though I think I’m gonna go with Celeste. I felt like when it came to the first verse she actually attacked whereas Yumeko seemed to be talking about herself the whole time. Second verse though I’d definitely give it to Mary. Hifumi did… alright I guess (he got a couple of hits in) but Mary overall did better, though it wasn’t really by a landslide. The last round was the hardest to decide on and I had to keep going back for it but I think Celeste barely got it overall. Yumeko had some hits but then it felt like she just went back to talking about herself. So yeah, overall I think Celeste got it but both sides did pretty well! Also I will say I wish it just stayed Celeste vs Yumeko throughout the whole thing, I was a little disappointed when Hifumi came in and took over as I feel like Celeste would’ve had a much better second verse if it was her (Hifumi falling for Yumeko mid verse didn’t really help either lol). Mary did kind of make it a bit better but I still wish it was just the two of them (Celeste and Yumeko I mean). No hate on you of course, it was an extremely clever idea to have them come in, however I’m just not the biggest fan of others jumping into battles like that so it bugged me a little bit 😅 Really incredible job on the battle though! The editing, writing, and beat were all amazing, and I’m glad that one of my favorite creators finally did this matchup because I’ve been waiting a LONG time for it!
