I just wanna take a moment to acknowledge how significant the line "QBasic Bitch" from 1:01 is, especially given the fact that it came out of Monaca Towa's mouth. If you look up the term QBasic, you'll eventually find this: "The name QBasic is an acronym for Quick Beginners All Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. It was developed and launched by Microsoft in the year 1991 and is considered to be one of the most ideal languages for absolute beginners." For those unaware, Monaca Towa, among other things, is a genius with AI and computers in general, as such knowledge is the very basis of what her family business is about. So basically, in a very quick line that sounds like she's simply saying "you basic bitch" at first, Monaca is creating the impression that she's looked into what it would take to create Monika and saying she's such an unsophisticated piece of software that a beginner programmer could have made her (Monika) in their sleep. ..... Monaca did NOT come here to play games.

I love how Monika points out how hated Monaca is, when that's the whole point of her character. Monaca is supposed to be hated. I still think she's underrated as a villain though. Monaca is better than Junko imo.

I can understand it. Junko was initially written as a shock factor villain who used Monokuma to comunicate until her exposition dump in the final chapters of the first 2 games. She's a good villain but, until the despair arc showed her to be the fate that the world of Hope's Peak brought on themselves by setting the board up for her, all of her claims were hidden by hiding behind the bear. Monaca though is a very active villain in comparison who was just rotten to the core. Its honestly why I like her as a villain; you love to hate her.

Yeah, but by insanity standards, I think Monika wins. Monaca has some real reason for how she is; she was emotionally abused and manipulated. Monika murdered her friends just because she became self aware. I've been having derealization issues for years, and I know it isn't the same for everyone, but you have to be really messed up already if suspecting you aren't real pushes you to cause the only other people in your life to die. I downloaded this on Spotify and I swear I listen to it too much. Here are some of my notes: 1. The cast used to voice the characters is PERFECTION! Monika and Monaca especially, but I absolutely loved Kotoko's voice. It legitimately made me believe it was her original voice. I think that the Doki Doki cast sounds a lot more like the main ones I liked from the other rap battles they were involved in(Monika's sounds like MissSheila, Sayori sounds like Strawberry Sana-- at least I think that was who voiced her in a different rap battle-- and Natsuki sounded like the one from Natsuki vs Nico Yozawa). 2. I loved the lines where they refer to Monaca's wheelchair. "I thought Natsuki's home life was the most broken, but then here comes Monaca like-- 'They see me rooooolling!'" and "Monaca shuts down a town when I roll on a scene, people shut you down with Ctrl + Alt + Delete!" were probably the greatest lines in the entire rap battle. 3. I can feel the love that went into this not only from the animation, but from the dialogue as well as the way each line is delivered. It honestly felt like a Canon encounter between the characters; every delivery, the mannerisms of each character, and the casting itself completely brings the characters to the surface and recreates the experience of seeing the original character's personality. I was even more so impressed how accurate the Danganronpa characters were since they didn't really get too much time on screen. It genuinely made me WANT an Ultra Despair Girls 2. 4. Something I'm probably thinking too hard about was how the Warriors of Hope came in. Obviously they were included as Monaca's entourage to counter the DDLC gang, but I focused so heavily on the fact that their verse started because Sayori came at Kotoko. It was heartwarming and felt like something more than them being pawns of Monaca; it reminded me that before these kids were corrupted by Junko, they were best friends. And writing this, I'm then reminded how Monaca was going to let her friends die without her and that makes me depressed. 5. Monaca has some of the most intimidated presence in this rap battle. Monika obviously is obviously the leader of a very superficial group of girls who seem like they just sit around and gossip and the Warriors of Hope definitely feels like a team working in sync, but Monaca just... there's just something about the way her lines are constructed and delivered that make me believe that she didn't need the help in this battle. 6. To add to 5, the Danganronpa characters had the best verse starters. -- "Please, you don't have to be so mean. Do you think that someone little like Monaca could scheme so evil and big? Well, you're right! So fuck you! Who could trust you after your lust went through your whole club just to get with one dude?" --"WHOA! DEMON SPOTTED! LET'S GO IN FOR THE SLAUGHTER!" My personal favorite! -- "BIIIITCH!" I'm not sure why the way she says it makes me ugly laugh. Also when you hear it, it's just... there's so much malice, you can tell something bad will happen next.

SWIZKII YOU GENIUS! I LOVED that the Warriors Of Hope was included, I enjoyed this a lot! As a Monaca fan, I was astonished on how well she sounded. From the lyrics to the vocals to the background music, this was really fun to watch. You and who else worked on this did a great job! This was great, keep up the great work! (EDIT #1): I just realized something. In most of the rap battles, the last line ends with some saying or mentioning how their opponent is the ‘biggest most awful most tragic rapper’ and boom, it ends. When Monika said it, however, Monaca still rapped. I dunno if this was just because you were following the original April Fools script, or if it’s because of something else, but I think it aligns with Monaca’s personality really well. Monaca doesn’t seem like the type to give up when someone else tells her, but to only give up when it seems there’s no other choice. (which you can CLEARLY see in UDG) That might probably be me misinterpreting things, but whatever.

And second monaca is a villain made to be hated, she accomplished her goal so its not a a diss.
