Modern-day descendants of a mystical bloodline are hunted by an ancient evil hell-bent on using their life force to unleash his banished army on the world. Will the Furies find a way to work together and embrace their destiny to defeat Mage before anybody else gets hurt?
ABOUT:
Celestial Fury is a Power Rangers fan-film originally shot to commemorate the franchise’s 15th Anniversary; inspired by Ron Wasserman’s rejected Mystic Force Rock Demo. The project was conceived and produced by a team of film school students in Chicago with the help of a local production company in early 2007.
Produced before cosplay and fan-films became ubiquitous amongst the #RangerNation fandom, Celestial Fury was created as the filmmaker’s set-up story to adapt the Mahou Sentai Magiranger source footage - introducing their approach to a team of Rangers ["Furies"] and the “What If” premise of the series that could have followed.
An early rough cut was previewed on the first night of the first ever Power Morphicon [Friday June 22, 2007], while a second version close to the final cut premiered at the second Power Morphicon [Saturday August 28, 2010].
Fifteen years since its first preview, Celestial Fury has now been remastered and recolored in celebration of its 15th Anniversary, with a brand new opening credits and a cameo by Power Rangers SPD Green [Blue, and Red] Matt Austin as Dave.
DISCLAIMER:
Celestial Fury is a 100% not-for-profit fan-film. The likeness of all Power Rangers-related iconography, props, and costume pieces used in the film belong to Toei Company, Ltd., Saban Capital Group, LLC, Hasbro, Inc., and all of their subsidiaries. Celestial Fury is not affiliated with the Power Rangers brand in any official capacity; the fan film was made as a tribute to the series and sanctioned by then-franchise owners Disney as part of the first Power Morphicon and the 15th Anniversary Celebration.
