I have Greenbacks in my 412 and while I am not a big high gain modern palm mute guy, they handle them fine. Greens are much warmer than Creambacks, but the Creams are still good. never understand when guys say a greenback can't handle high gain.

Alexis Machine I picked up a Dual Terror head with a PPC112 loaded with a Vintage 30, do you think the Creamback would help combat the fizz? I'm reserving judgment until my pickups get to me, gotta wait for Wade to wire them. I was thinking either a Creamback or Redback may help out.

got the celestion G12M on my used Vox 1x12 G2 cab. got it like 100 USD only and the speaker is really delicious sounding when I got it. Maybe the previous owner played heavily on it already :) Paired it with my Ironheart, man, my tone quest is OVER. No more tone chasing ! xD

Just bare in mind that the G12M-65 is 3dB lower in sensitivity than the G12H-75, so the G12H-75 would overpower the other speaker in the cab quite substantially - especially at higher volume levels. It'd be better to mix them with speakers closer together in sensitivity, so the volume is a bit more even between the two speakers.

Just to add, the new Neo Creamback sounds great with the Orange TH 30 head in the Orange 1x12. Super light cab with the lightweight speaker. Bring it to a gig, lots of bass for a 1x12. Maybe compare the Neo with the other Creambacks? The Vintage 30 speaker is better if you're going to dial the eq to extremes, but if you keep your eq close to center anyway, the Neo is pretty cool.

A nice smooth, fat midrange in that G12H, almost reminiscent of the Classic Lead 80 with a bit more bite. I don't hear that strange V30 midrange curve in either one. I may pick one up and try it in my 2x12 with my CL80.

I have a 1960BV with G12H30 Anniversaries and a 1960AV with the stock Marshall Vintage Celestions. My heads are JCM2000 and Engl Fireball. I am disappointed with the Vintage speakers. I have a 2x12 with one Creamback 65 and one International V30 in it. I didn't quite like the Creamback by itself in a 1x12, and I'm still undecided on how it blends with the V30 (which remains a safe choice).

I think the differences between these 2 speakers was not very clear. Compressed higher gain tones with reduced mids double tracked can make things sound homogenous. Great production and playing, but perhaps clips showing where a particular speaker excels would be more informative.

I finally bought both! Gow would you put them in a vertical 2x12? the G12M65 up or down positioned?
@Darth.Shredder
@Darth.Shredder Жыл бұрын
I assume you solved this months ago but for anyone else reading... in my vertical 2x12 I put the M65 on top and a G12H Anniversary on bottom. The M65 is 97db vs the H75 or in my case the G12H Anniversary which are both 100db, so the M65 pushes slightly less volume plus having it up top helps tame some of the highs of the H75 or in my case, the H Anniversary. Same with the upper mid spike of a V30.

Great tune as always when Ryan plays. However, I just find the harmony part(s) a bit out of place. IMO, it needs to be done in a different key, because the minute the harmony comes in, it creates a sort of...awkward sound and feel to it. When I first heard the song, I'm like...hmmmmm....Ryan always plays some kick ass tunes...but there's just something about the harmony that just doesn't quite sit with me. LOL. The more I listen to it, the more I'm realizing, "it's those darn harmonies...they're awkward choices and don't quite match the composition. WAIT!!! this is just my opinion guys. Just say'n I would not have used those keys...and would prefer a sweeter blend of the harmonies.
