Billy Gibson uses a secret pedal, there's a KZbin video about his "secret pedal". It's a guitar graphic equalizer pedal, he only bumps up the 400 slider. This makes the Celestion V type speaker put out some growl and punch and the speaker sound fuller. Behringer sells one for $25.

It's exactly the same recording. Tightness often comes from kickdrums underneath the guitars ;-)

You've been putting out some great demos man. Very professional. Which one would you recommend for a Peavey 6505, for taming a bit the low mids (more deep low end and hi mids instead)? 60 watt minimum.

Thanks! I guess we're talking high gain right here, I would recommend the Creamback M-65, Creamback H-75, Lynchback or V30 the most. Those are the ones I usually have the best results with for high gain boosted mesa and 5150'ish tones.

@@ThevonMusic high gain, but like you I also like the mellower stuff. Thank you for the tip! I'm thinking of mixing a V30 with a H75 in a 2x12. That should do the trick.

v30 is this speaker for taming the low mids, it's almost all high mids. I wouldn't recommend the creamback M-65 it has pretty strong low mids (which is why I like it)

They both are good for metal. Personal preference.

I guess both are scooped mid speakers. I'd choose whatever one has more presence in the upper mids. Would that be the V type?

Hi i'm thorn between Vintage 30 and V type, the orange cab cost a lot in my country,i found a Vox 1x12 loaded with celestion V type its cheaper than Orange ppc112 loaded with vintage 30.i play mostly high gain and i own a orange micro dark with a tube screamer in front should i save up for the orange ppc112?

I have no idea, never used those cabs. Maybe try to find em in a local shop so you can give them a test drive.

the V type is more versatile and cheaper so I'd go for that unless you mainly play metal
