I just ordered these 🤓 I saw the space station for the first time last night and that was pretty awesome.

@@astronomyscope I just ordered a pair and it is supposed to be here today. I watch the ISS and want to view Satellites and Comets. My small binoculars is not so good for finding comets. Thanks for the Video. I will tell you how I like the binoculars when the sky is clear. Raining today.

Thank you for this review! Is it possible to zoom in and out (depending on what we are looking at)? If so, how much can you zoom out? Thanks,

You're welcome. You cannot zoom with these binoculars, unfortunately.

Hi, very nice review. A small thing to consider... Audio is stereo and it's annoyingly shifting left to right as you move. Please consider converting audio into mono before exporting. That would eliminate all the distractions and focus on what you are saying

thank you so much for this and your other video on the Celestron binoculars. I just had to comment on your completeness and educated view about astronomy binocular use. You are the first product reviewer to inspire me to comment on. question: which model should I consider purchasing more than the other. One with a higher objective or higher light gathering number E. G. 80 MM. I appreciate your response. By the way… Did you consider any other brands?
@astronomyscope10 ай бұрын
Awesome, thank you! Really appreciate your kind words. Is there anything you want to see in particular? I did consider other brands but opted for Celestron since they are the signature brand in the astronomy binocular space.

@@astronomyscope Thanks for your reply. I'm mainly interested in 20x80 Oberwerks binoculars at this point. I seem to find a comment here and there about quality control issue with a Celestron set. The price point is similar and Oberwerks claims to be extra careful in their pre-delivery inspection. I have concerns about whether I have to mandatorily have to collimate them as well. Again...thank you for your attention to my questions. I really appreciate your detail.

My 15 x 70 arrived today. WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are powerful. I knew they would be heavy. Got to find a tripod for them. Something 1/4 a mile away looked like 30 feet away. Amazing. These are keepers. Can hardly wait to see the ISS, Saturn. But I got them to watch Comets and Satellites.

Does it provides of adjusting zoom like 3 X , 5 X , 10X or it is static at 15 X only.

Hi there, I have the same ones and I love to try and look at the planets when they are out! I can never see them clearly and wondered whether I’d need a higher magnification binoculars? (Beginner to this)
@astronomyscope Жыл бұрын
Hi Minty. When you say can't see them clearly, is the image blurry? My initial thoughts here could be that your binoculars are you of collimation.
@brucea9871 Жыл бұрын
There are a few possible reasons for your dilemma. First your binoculars may be out of collimation as the first reply suggested. Try looking at objects on the ground with them to see what the images look like. Second are you certain you are looking at a planet? It may be a star. Third a magnification of 25 is barely enough to see a planet as a disk. It would appear fairly small with little detail. But higher magnification binoculars is not a viable solution. There are very few binoculars made that magnify more than 25 times. The few that do would be large, heavy and very expensive and would require a mount (an additional expense). If you really want to see details on the planets a telescope is a better option.

I have the Celestron Skymaster Pro 20x80 Binoculars. Yours look good.

They're great. I'd say the last pair of binocs you can get without the need of a tripod. How are you getting along with your 20x80s?
@ptonpc Жыл бұрын
@@astronomyscope You definitely need a tripod with the 20x80s! Pretty good with them, my main 'interest' is the moon, you can get incredibly crisp and clear views with them.

@@astronomyscope I noticed that the eye relief of these binos is only 13mm. I'm not sure if a glass wearing person like me would be able to use it with glasses. I can't do without glasses as I've got astigmatism.

Hi, thanks for the review, I'm thinking on getting this binoculars or a small telescope (will be my first gadget for stargazing)... you mentioned saturn was difficult to see with this... is it possible to see the rings? Thanks!

I've got these on order and am also new to stargazing, but I have read reports of the rings being just about visible through these. Looking forward to trying it out for myself!
@astronomyscope11 ай бұрын
Hello Francis. From my experience, I'm yet to see the rings. Heard others have just about made them out, but you'd need more aperture, around 100x

@franciscobarrientos3922 hope it serves you well! Mine have arrived but haven't observed anything yet due to lack of clear skies. After a bit more research I'm already considering returning for a more expensive set of binos but don't want to run before I can walk.

hi - i'm thinking of buying the binoculars in your review but would obviously like to buy a tripod that was compatible (to stop arm ache etc). I haven't a clue what I need so wondered whether you had any recommendations please? Ta nicely

so new to this game - I want to get it right (& on a budget!)- "The celestron hummingbird monopod"- is this tripod compatible/ do I need anything additional to connect these binoculars to the tripod / is this tripod good for sitting in a chair and viewing planets etc Any advice would be really helpful and appreciated. Yep, I'm a pain....
@astronomyscope Жыл бұрын
Hello. Absolutely. Here is the tripod I just bought myself: amzn.to/3QkrC36. You will need to ensure you get the right 'size' for your height. I am releasing a few videos on this shortly, so if you did want to wait for those that's cool. Consider with this tripod you would need a 'binocular adapter' too. I bought the celestron binocular adapter. Again future videos will explain this.
@astronomyscope Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the budget. Not seen or used the hummingbird monopod personally but it does look good on first impressions. In terms of connection, you shouldn't need anything else: "Mounting Stud - At the top of your monopod, you’ll find a ¼”-20 mounting stud that accommodates most any spotting scope, camera, or binocular adapter, providing a secure connection directly to the monopod. To attach and or detach your device from the monopod, just screw or unscrew it from the stud."

@@astronomyscope Hi - really appreciate you taking the time to reply to me. I have just realised the difference between a monopod and a tripod (1 & 3!!!!) see- told you you I hadn't a clue.. Of course the Monopod would be no good as I would need more than 1 leg in able to rest it on the patio floor - so I could stargaze without any problem!! I need a cheap tripod option with a 'binocular adapter' in order to 'gaze-away'. Having now binned the Monopod idea, I will wait and see what you advise in your videos.. it's a minefield out there when you are as clueless as me!!
