It brought me to tears, both because of her own tragic backstory and the song she sang borne of heartbreak, Edith Piaf's "Hymne à l'amour", composed after her lover was killed in a plane crash. This song by Piaf is part of the musical heritage of my country and Céline's interpretation was simply magnificent. I think the emotion has crossed languages ​​and cultures around the world, a song written by a woman (Piaf) for the man she loved (Cerdan) and who died shortly after; Céline's story ties in with Piaf's story (the death of the loved one) which makes the meaning and interpretation of this song even stronger and I admit it made me cry. People nowadays are easily fooled by technology...Yes, it is her voice, Yes she was singing Live on a dead Mic..But her voice on the sound systems was definitely prerecorded and as experts would say objectively, PITCH CORRECTED...
