I'm in tears watching this back, I think it's the best singing I've heard by her. Might need some more 1992 recommendations.

I think you would enjoy Fly The version she sang on the Oprah Winfrey show. Another song with a personal connection to her. A lot of people like the French version better but I actually prefer that performance.

Another great one you'll like if you're open to listening to her singing her native language which I always felt she connected to more. L'amour existe encore. She sang at a benefit for victims of the September 11th tragedy. It was her first performance after the terrorist attacks. It's a beautiful song even though I don't understand the words it transcends the language. You feel the pain.

Her "Calling you" performance live at winter garden 1991 would be great, She had many great live performances of that song in 1991 and 1992.

Her song With This Tear (written for her by Prince) was realesed in 1992. One of Celine's best vocal performances in studio, she also gave great live performance in 1993.

Thank you for this reaction. This permormance is very touching, everytime I hear this song I start to cry. So deeply, Céline Dion has an amazing gift. She has the golden voice. She is a nice human being and we can feel it in that song. Her soul is singing. I hope she gets better soon. Mr. Thank you so very much for this beautiful reaction. Congratulations😊

It was live ... It's sad that was never recorded officially by her in an album. It was on a funeral, not even in a real concert with full setting. Just her and the piano... Wonderfull.

The ease, the power, the resonance, the emotion. I've loved Celine for 25 years now and sometimes I still catch myself being utterly in awe of her talent in her prime. The kind of talent that makes me tear up because it's this freaking good.

One of my biggest regrets, music-wise, is never taking the opportunity to see her live. Now that it’s possible she may never perform again because of her health, I’m gutted.

I hope she heals and you get the chance. I’ve seen her live 3 times and I can tell you she is undeniably better in person the power, and the improvised agility with which she sings live will knock your socks off.

I was like you with this song. Never liked it and this version i was obsessed with. The way she sings it, the chord structure and the cry’s in her voice. Just amazing. For me 1992 probably is her prime. The earlier you go back with Celine i feel the more powerful her vocals are. But the more forward you go the more nuanced she gets so 92 is a good sweet spot. There are some great performances of love can move mountains on Arsenio Hall from this period.

Wow : you're the second person on KZbin reacting to this song. Ever. It's such a shame this performance is not as well known as it should be. I just adore this version. One of my favorite live vocals from Céline. P.S : did you know that's a cover from a French song called "Comme d'habitude" by French singer Claude François ? Give it a try if you can. The original is so much better than Sinatra's version in my opinion. It has more a 70s sound.

Celine prime years are definitely 1989-1993. The amount of sheer power that was coming out of this woman’s mouth is unbelievable. I listen to this a lot even though I don’t like the song. But a skillful female vocalist will make any song sound fantastic.

@lambchop3805 Жыл бұрын
@@justjuven4846 no way she sounded on the same level after 2000 as between 1989-1993. Not even close. She set the standard very high during those years.
@rarevisionog Жыл бұрын
@@lambchop3805 Agreed. she just changed her technique to gain access to constricted high notes easily , but she traded power and richness for it and became more nasal so not in prime especially beyond 00's. She was always good whenever she forgot her new technique and SANG OUT

Finally Celine is back! lol How about Celine singing Ton Visage?? Its obviously a French song, but the video I've linked here has the English translation on the screen. It was sung live for her husbands best friend Dick, she dedicates the song to him at the start. "Cest pour toi Dick, bon voyage" (its for you Dick, good journey). This recording is from his funeral, its a bootleg, hence the poor audio quality.
