You have to watch the Documentary "20 Feet from Stardom" It talks about all the backup singers, especially the black up singers that gave that extra flavor that was needed in the rock songs coming out from The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and a lot of other acts. Lisa, even though she won a grammy for this song, she was not comfortable being in the spot light and went back to singing backup for many acts including the Rolling Stones, Luther Vandross and many other acts. The other backup singers in this documentary said, that Lisa Fischer owns that space (backup singing space) She is heavily featutred in this documentary. They mentioned the song Take a walk on the Wild side by Lou Reed. "When you hear Lou Reed sing "And the Colored Girls go do da doo doot da doot do!" He was talking about this very thing about the back up singers giving the seasoning that rock and roll needed. You should check it out. Excellent Documentary!

@@_therealkingj ...you will not be disappointed....it is not in the documentary....but at one point....LUTHER....TINA....and the ROLLING STONES....all were on tour.....AT THE SAME TIME....and all 3 acts had to SHARE HER....LISA...was flying VIA PRIVATE JET....to each one...it was INSANE...by the way....LUTHER...would have her sing the song you just reacted to....while he made a COSTUME CHANGE.....the men in the audience would GO MAD....

Lisa won a Grammy but she actually had a tie with Patti for her album Burnin. In my opinion Lisa was as good as Patti but she didn’t get the recognition.

Omggg you have to react to another live version of hers. She has an olive green scarf on her head with a black dress. It was so beautiful like poetry. It’s a totally different version.
