My dear mother in law passed away with SPS just two weeks before Celine announced her diagnosis. Prior to that, we had to explain to everyone, including healthcare providers, what this condition was. It is so rare that most physicians will never see a case of it in their career. As in the case of my loved one, it can take years before a diagnosis is reached because it is rarely recognized and treatment is limited as there are so few cases to research. I sincerely hope that Celine and anyone else suffering with this awful disease can maintain their health as long as possible and that some day perhaps a cure can be discovered.

I noticed Celine was hypermobile quite awhile ago and wondered if she had a hypermobility syndrome. I have hEDS and some with my condition end up having SPS. However my condition isn’t as rare as originally thought but rarely recognized and diagnosed. If she may have had what I suspected I sure hope attention would be drawn to them. Awareness is so important. I hope she doesn’t feel she owes her audience anything and saves spoons for herself.

(blood drinking) that is their “beauty”. They need “fixing up” again and again or they cannot have their moment on the world stage. Ugly is not allowed in - right? That many and often replacements and therapy - how hideous appearance they have then? Questioning is not allowed also - right? - 2 reasons for that: 1.) it shows the lack of knowledge all have 2.) it exposes lies and clears out truth. Our judgment about someones appearances comes from HOLLYWOOD - right? No soul is then beautiful nor pretty - take a look again into the list of all these procedures you have to endure. Hollywood teaches us to judge falsly daily. BIBLE calls us to: John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

I’m so sorry you have to endure so much heartbreak and pain, the physical, and the emotional aspects of not knowing if you’ll be able to continue your beloved singing career. Thank you for all that you have given and shared with us. You are in our prayers. I’m so grateful that you have your beloved boys. I spent almost 10 years not knowing if I would regain my health so that I could be the mother to my daughters that I had always dreamt of being. In the end, knowing that life happens a day at a time, they watched me fight with everything I had so that I come back to them. I lived by example, and they learned by watching my struggle. They witnessed how I fought with every cell in my body for what I wanted and needed in my life, for what is truly important: the love of family and friends.

I've been living with Stiff Person Syndrome for 32 years.."low level" so I wish her the best and I know of others who have it worse then me and some have found the right treatment that they can move about etc...yes it is progressive, no cure ~ though for me I try now to approach this through cognitive PT..Celine is correct this cannot define you. That is hard when SPS is a constant barrier no matter the level. Wish her well & I think she'll explain what it is though not her personal experience which is smart. Peace light & love ~🕊🌷💫
