I say it’s better to give a good show with some playback than sing live and struggle, and disappoint your fans! We know she can do it. But she’s also a busy touring woman, so she needs to conserve. I’m a Mariah Carey fan too and she often sings live and it’s not working out lately. I say it as a fan. But then when the playback starts it’s painfully obvious. Celine, on the other hand, has a talented sound manager and technicians. Lol. They make it sound real and in the moment. Mariah’s tend to sound completely different, tone and quality wise.

@@erikm8372 Well, that was my old comment. 😅 Now I like Celine more and I know more about her. She is an amazing artist. I think, right, it's understandable that she lip-syncs some of her songs in concert. It's a way of protecting her vocal. After all, she performs all year round and she can't sing fully live or her voice would hurt. Also, I'm a lamb 🐑. I'm happy to see that Mariah's voice is getting better lately. God bless them both.
