I personally loved this book I thought the pacing of it was great the story was well paneled etc.. I do have something to say about the things you didn't like about it "how they didn't fight back" you saying this bugged me a little because your saying it as if summer never wanted to fight back because she tried buy rose and poppy stopped her because they knew she would fail and clover would kill her, or when "she didn't struggle when being kidnapped" Its been a month or so since I read it and I've been a busy so I don't remember all of it but I believe she was trying to get loose but clover is a strong person a teen girl could not over power a 30 year old male same thing with the phone thing she understood how strong he was and she was not going to try fighting it because she did not want to die another thing the girls in the cellar rose poppy and violet did not team up will summer (Lilly) because they have seen what clover can do they have been sexually assulted they have had to clean up other women's bodies off the ground from him they themselves have been beaten from cut flowers dying they are all scared of him for a good reason they also have no weapons' the most they have is a frying pan and after the first violet we see dyes protecting summer(Lilly) he replaces her and she tries that and fails and almost dies what I'm trying to say is they did try or they wanted to but just gave up because they knew they would never win I respect you opinion in that case though its not like everyone doesn't have the right to there own option because you do same goes for the people who don't like the book I just wanted to share my opinion on the matter and incase you didn't know I believe Natasha Preston has a second book in the serious I believe its called the cabin but don't quote me on it :)

@@JessyandHerBooks I’m a couple of years late, just got into reading and I liked this book it was very good, I didn’t like how many pages were waisted on Lewis and summer mentioning how they missed eachother, I wish there was more planning and less hoping and moping
