I decided to quit taking my antidepressants about a month and a half ago and I knew it was gonna be a horrible process of withdrawal, so I tried to just push through it, but I got stuck in a dark place for a while. I'm on my way back up though, partially thanks to this song

I just realized something rather interesting: This song is, to me, based on my understanding of the lyrics, most likely all about being able to adapt, survive and thrive despite and against any and all possible odds, even especially if and when you least expect it and any and all hope seems lost and gone. In other words, it is all about being a very rare exception (having "lucky" coincidences) to the rules of extremely dangerous or difficult circumstances (conditions and situations), events, places, things, and people that should typically kill you, or at the very least, severely hurt or ail you for life.

To me it is about how you can see someone who appears to be in a better position than you and think "oh how lucky they are" when in actuality you don't know half the shit they have gone through to get there, interesting how songs can work like that.

im in process of discovering the whole bouffet this man creates for us to feast our ears on and ican say this is - in sound - one of ones i enjoy the most. I love his vocals - his voice is simply melting to listen to, and paced and increasing anticipation of guitars, i love electronic vibe in prechorus and the way it all falls on you like tsunami. Its such energizing, powrrful song. My current number 1 battery cell.

So I went ahead and downloaded The Oregon Trail and ran it off of a DOS emulator. My passengers, aside from myself, were Klayton and three others that you probably would not recognize by name. While everyone else was coming down with dysentery, cholera, snakebites, and broken limbs, Klayton DID NOT GET SICK OR HURT AT ALL THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE TRIP. Guess he really is The Lucky One.
