As far as I can tell, this song is... something about the folly of faith, and wishing without action. Much of this album is about failing to act, wishing and expecting to be given, and then suffering the consequences of such a thing. The entire concept of the "Blackstar", just from the songs mentioning it, all exhibit this principle. Wishing for something but making no move towards obtaining your wish will leave you settled in the darkness, still waiting. You can romanticize such a thing all you want, but at the end of the day, you've wasted your life.

Thank you, Scott. I heard your prayers and I appreciate your support. This has been extremely hard for me to deal with and your music is the only thing I have left most of the time. More often than not it all comes down to your music and you have always and will always be someone I look up to. Thank you for giving me all you have given me because it has helped me through the times I didn't want to be a part of anything. I love you and I can't wait for your new album tomorrow. It's going to be the first album I have bought in a VERY long time. I want you to know that you are my favorite artist and I will always support you whether you believe it or not. Thanks for being here for me, I hope to meet you one day so I can tell you this all in person. Thanks again!

“Look up at the stars son” my father was saying “Now go wish upon one then spend your life waiting” The Northern Lights could hear me whispering Hunter Orion are you listening? Nine rings of Saturn circle endlessly And I’m still waiting I cast my hope upon The Pleiades The Seven Sisters who would come for me They’d fall to earth to grant a child’s dream But I’m still waiting Alone in this darkness there’s a dream still worth saving I cling to a promise, and I am still waiting

When I listen to Celldweller (Especially his music from Blackstar to Offworld) I mostly think and dream of space exploration. It's so inspiring when you look at the stars and planets at night, while listening to songs like this, thinking about humanity's place in the universe and how far we might come as a species, if we just stop all these stupid wars and work together as one strong and united nation. Think about just how much we could achieve!

Because most of Klayton's fanbase, prefer listening to metal/rock from Klay instead of Wub's. That's why most of the people are hating.
@LOLHICRONO12 жыл бұрын
posted this before but despite everything sounding right: the one complaint i do have is that the deep bass is done in a correct and effective manner, but the signature dubstep "wubs" don't have enough force behind them. they need to be more bassy and overpowering to be effective. rest is amazing
@Cassady1AndOnly12 жыл бұрын
And also, for everyone complaining. You do realize that musicians like Celldweller/Klayton make music for themselves right? He's just kind enough to share it with the rest of us and the world. Whining and crying for him to go back to his industrial and metal roots won't make him do it. He makes music for him, an extension of his own soul. The rest of us just happen to either like it or dislike it. Listen to his debut if you prefer that, and I'll listen to his 'polished turds' ^_^

Once upon a time there was a shitstorm because Klayton started drifting towards increasingly electronic music, so someone rallied an army to spam dislikes and angry comments on his videos. Klayton disabled ratings and comments on everything for a while to make them stop. Those were dark days.

There's this trend I've noticed lately, not on just Celldwellers music, but other bands and artists as well. Everyone thought dubstep was cool at first, it's evolved and is continually getting better. But now all of a sudden, if I so much as mention the word dubstep to anybody I get flamed and criticized instantly. How people started to change their view on it is beyond me, I personally don't like it in it's pure form, but when it's mixed with other elements like this, it's wonderful.

I am still surprised that people keep assuming the only way to vocode is with autotune. Keep up the great work Klay.

I imagine something similar: the first ship we build capable of interstellar travel, equipeed with an inertial mitigation system, and accelerating at several dozen meters per second (we could only survive such acceleration for a prolonged period with reduced inertia) on its mission to travel to and to establish the first colony in another star system.
