Tips I can think of - know the different types of tasks - practice taking notes of relevant facts (I have a bad memory so this helped) - don’t be in a rush to answer, use the time you have - take a few practice tasks, watch some English language documentaries without subtitles All the best!

Hi there! Thanks a lot for this video! I wanted to double check question 5 ( last section, about elections) as I got the answer wrong. The question states " current government", but in the speech, candidate says "my opponent", not "current government" . following this info, i had a hard time choosing the right answer. thanks

Sorry for the late reply. In the audio, he said "my opponent and his administration". That tells me that the opponent is the current government (also called the incumbent), otherwise the opponent won't have an administration.

What you need is internet access, and ideally a smartphone and a computer to do the writing exercise. You need to figure out the reasons why you got the answers wrong. Different problems need different solutions. In our training, you get practice questions that help you understand your weak areas, and, in Q&A we can have a more in depth discussion that is specific to your situation.

It will be around 6-7, the requirement differs for each person depending on their situation.

Your profile will have a different score than other applicants, you just need an overall profile score that's higher than the cutoff points. I would say try to get 8 but of course the higher the better.

When we made the video, we had thought that the listening might use accents from different regions in Canada, but Paragon has clarified that the listening uses only the North American English. Also the first video of the listening has really fast graphics that are impossible to read without pausing the video and it is unclear if, in the real test, the questions will be written or spoken.
