Hiya!! I used your KZbin materials to prep for my CELPIP exams and I did so well! Listening-12, writing-12, Reading-11, Speaking- 11. Though I’ve been a native speaker but I do know it can still be a struggle to do well on the test just due to nervousness and other factors. I must say this page helped a ton!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the CELPIP Test channel for sharing this fantastic video. A massive round of applause goes out to Brandi; she truly is an exceptional teacher. I followed her recommendations for both Writing Task 1 and Task 2, and the outcome was absolutely incredible-I scored a perfect 12 on my CELPIP test. It's worth mentioning that I came to realize there are multiple approaches one can take when tackling these tasks. However, I decided to wholeheartedly follow Brandi's advice, and it delivered outstanding results! I must say, her explanations were incredibly insightful and, without a doubt, the best ones out there. Brandi, you are simply the best!

I'm from India (bilingual with my first language as English) and to me an 'entree' has always been a starter or an appetizer . I was so surprised when I heard that line so I went to check it up... Apparently in Canada and the USA , unlike the rest of the world, an entree means the main course. This was good to know!

Hi brandi, can I use idioms in both writing, please reply as soon as possible because my exam is scheduled on coming 17 Oct.
@CELPIPOfficial
@CELPIPOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shashi. Idioms can be used in writing for more informal settings. If you were writing to a friend or family member, for example, you would likely use more casual language, so suitable idioms could make sense. If you were writing to your boss, or to a stranger, however, a more formal approach would be suitable, so you would likely not use idioms in this case. (The words you choose to include in your writing always depend on your purpose, and your audience). - Brandi
