There was a time (1989 to 1994) after he recovered from career threatening injury at Monaco that Mark Hateley was once of the very best centre forwards in Europe. Great touch with either foot, ramrod shot with his left, excellent pace, good football brain and world class aerial ability with great athleticism. And Graham Taylor wouldn't pick him for England, nor would Terry Venables. Massive error.

5:05. What a goal. Hateley was unplayable in those days, rampant. Best striker in Europe.

OH YES !!! THESE WERE THE DAYS WHEN WE CRAMMED THE RANGERS END OUT BEHIND THE GOAL.NOBODY,I REPEAT NOBODY COULD CELEBRATE A GOAL THE WAY IN WHICH HATELEY DID,SHAME ON THESE IDIOTS WHO BOOED HIM WHEN HE JOINED THE GREAT GLORIOUS GLASGOW RANGERS,BEST BUY/STRIKER EVER!
