Miss Moonshine Dance & MORE

Күн бұрын

Samantha leaves the piano to dance sean-nos style, then returns to play whilst Miss Moonshine attempts to buckdance to a reel shes never heard. Samantha and Oisin currently hale from Sligo, Ireland. Sean-nos is akin to irish flatfooting.

What syncopated musical fusion! Awesome. Liked the kid down front- slapping out rhythm, hardly containing the feet from joining in! What an wonderfully marvelous moment of people at their best, thanks for sharing!

Flag stone would be better... but not common in homes these days... particularly if you want a spot hallowed out for dancers....

I'm from Appalachia all generations going back to late 1600s/1700s living peaceably alongside the Cherokee people in what is now Eastern Tennessee (Tenase). My Great-grandfather many generations back, was instrumental in helping form an independent and separate governance from North Carolina. He was also the one who introduced the motion to name the state Tennessee (instead of Franklin) to respect/ recognize that the land ownership was primarily Cherokee nation, not the settlers. Tennessee (the doubled letters tell you where the glottal stops are). Tan-nes-say-ay the Cherokee pronunciation. For those claiming that settlers stole the land and simultaneously saying Native Americans didn't own land nor understand the concept of owning land, this is ALL untrue. Settlers purchased the land. The land for the forts was purchased. The Cherokee Nation consisted of 4 great tribes, each with their own land/land-rights that were bounded by landmarks, geographical features and other. My grandfather learned to speak Cherokee and it's recorded in the TN state library as having met with all 4 Chiefs to make a peace-pact with settlers when a rival indian tribe came down from ohio trying to incite Cherokee chiefs to attack and wipe out the settlers. The setters tried to live in harmony, seriously respecting land and hunting rules. His log cabin still stands in what i⁵ "Buck dancing" was not considered celtic clogging.
