Wow! Into the pandemonium was an absolute game changer within the whole metal scene, don't forget when this was released nothing had ever sounded like it, this allowed future bands to experiment with their sounds.

Into the Pandemonium is #1 by far. An album so far ahead of it's time, I don't even think that time has arrived yet. One of the greatest albums of all time in any genre.

My ranking: 1. Morbid Tales/Emperor's Return (An absolute classic with the mix of thrash, doom, and natural grooves. Love the production with how it sounds raw, yet well-produced at the same time.) 2. To Mega Therion (A close 2nd and another classic. Love the early death/doom style mixed with the first wave of black metal atmosphere and aggression.) 3. Monotheist (An amazing comeback. I do agree with you on how I wish there was more thrash, but love the gothic/death/doom style they went for. I can hear where some recent Asphyx albums get some inspiration from. Hell, they even covered a song off this album.) 4. Vanity/Nemesis (One of the most underrated albums ever in metal. Thrashy, groovy, and hints of classic metal.) 5. Into the Pandemonium (I love this album, but just prefer the others more. Unlike a lot of people, I like Tom's vocals for the most part as his moans give the album a gothic feel, while his trademark grunts were amazing on this album like on the track, "Inner Sanctum." I love the experimentation and avant-garde approach.) 6. Cold Lake (Still don't understand why this album happened.)

Hell yeah, love me some Frost in the morning! Such a unique and innovative band, I think it’s cool that every album is different and they just did whatever the f**k they wanted to. I actually like all the albums but I totally get why people hate Cold Lake and parts of Pandemonium, the vocals are pretty weird on both. Anyway, here’s my ranking: 1. To Mega Therion 2. Morbid Tales 3. Monotheist 4. Into the Pandemonium 5. Vanity/Nemesis 6. Cold Lake I really love those top 4, they’re all classics for me. I didn’t like the moaning on Into the Pandemonium at first but I’ve grown to appreciate it’s strangitude. I could do without “One in Their Pride” though, that’s trash. I also think Cold Lake has some pretty cool riffing and stuff, I would never call it Glam Metal personally. Thanks for the great video as always you bastard! 🤘🤘

I have seen other people put Into the Pandemonium at No 1 but I have also seen other people agree with you Questy. Its the album of theirs that divides opinion. Cold Lake might be considered a decent album by some if it was not by Celtic Frost.

I imagine somewhere in 85/86 Tom watched Back to the future and saw the "You're not ready for this but your kids are gonna love it" scene and he decided to write Into the Pandemonium. I'm having a hard time putting it at #1, I love many songs on it but One in their pride is so weird and Mexican Radio might be one of the worst kick off tracks ever. Who starts the arguably first Avantgarde Metal album with a cover?! Maybe that's what makes it avantgarde besides all the classical elements...

How did I know Cold Lake would come bottom! I genuinely don't think this is musically as bad as people think. If it had been released with different art/photos I reckon people might have thought differently about it, possibly? I do wish he'd remaster and put this out again on CD. I bought the vinyl when it came out and bloody stupidly sold it for a few quid a couple of years later...

Monotheist (Totally love this comeback album and saw the tour. The live show was kick ass and a memorable night) 4. Vanity/Nemesis (so thankful they recovered from Cold Lake) 5. Into the Pandemonium (I like avant- Garde but this album is ok, just not my cup of tea) 6. Cold Lake 🤦🏻‍♂️

I never bothered with Cold Lake or Vanity/Nemesis, the few songs I've heard from them are from the Parched with Thirst Am I And Dying compilation album, and I'm fine with not having either. As for the rest: 4 - Into The Pandemonium - I love this album. It the first one I got from CF, and it was just so out there, I really grew to appreciate the chances they took. Without Into The Pandemonium there might not be Aenima from Tool. 3- Morbid Tales/Emperor's Return - It was a combined release here, and they fit well together. Some of the early, truly heavy stuff that was beyond thrash. A band ahead of their time, while I do enjoy the raw sound of the era, imagine how great it would be just with modern production. 2 - To Mega Therion - An improvement from Morbid Tales, great all around. 1 - Monotheist - What can I say about this album? It is the culmination of everything that CF worked for, and it paid off big time. The songwriting and the production are just superb, several tunes get stuck in my head regularly. To top it off, if this album wasn't already so awesome, Tom G. essentially continued the same effort with Triptykon. P.S. - If you listen to Burn In Hell by Twisted Sister, listen to just the guitar - it sounds just like CF.

I was the same with Into the Pandemonium. Hated it, didn’t make sense. I did listen to the 1st time in awhile recently when I went through discography and admit it has grown on me a bit. It is now listenable with some bright spots. Tom’s voice can be acquired taste in general.
