Strongest, most majestic, brooding debut Metal album of their generation . Nothing even comes close . Evocative like very few can be, if any at all - I was literally inside a Robert E. Howard novel as I listened to this .

Just listen to that JCM800 with a Tubescreamer in front and revel in the heavy. Long live Celtic Frost in the ears of the Metal devoted. I love this band.

Is that what he used??? 😮
@vondragonnoggin7 ай бұрын
@@bathory5026 Yep. He has an easy sound to replicate, but his heavy song composition was always great and not easily replicated. You can get pretty close with a Marshall Artist 3203 and a tubescreamer too. Early Slayer you’ll hear the Artist 3203.

@vondragonnoggin7 ай бұрын
@@bathory5026 JCM800 (or 3203 Artist even) don’t need much of a push to get into that 80’s metal gain. I keep my Tubescreamer drive on 1 and level on 9 and it pushes it right into Celtic Frost sounds. Just hitting the front of the amp with that level push and mid hump (tone right in the middle) and it’s there. If you want more low cut and harder clipping sound, an SD-1 works great with JCM800 too. I keep both pedals at the ready.
