@Nicholas O'Connor It's Brother Walfrid - he was a Marist Brother, not a priest. Also, despite the pagan roots, Halloween (nowadays) is just a commercialised bit of fun for children - that's all. There are even Churches joining in the fun - it's a community thing. The chances of children, (or adults for that matter) being drawn into paganism because they stuck on a Halloween costume is infinitesimally small - barely worth considering. Christmas has pagan roots too - it was hijacked by Christianity, but a lot of the pagan symbolism remains. I'm assuming that you don't have anything to do with Christmas either. Also, Celtic football club is open to all - it is not a Christian or Catholic organisation - it's a football club - Brother Walfrid started the tradition of a club for all - mainly the poor, but there was no segregation on basis of religion. There are people of all faiths & none following Celtic, and that's exactly how it should be. 🍀🇮🇪🏴HH
