I was intimidated by the design at first. I bookmarked it and kept coming back to it, admiring it so much. I finally took the plunge and made it in. I love, love this design. Made in Christmas colors of red, green and gold, also as a set. Also doing it in rose gold set of the earrings, necklace and bracelet. Thank you for sharing. It is gorgeous and elegant ❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍

It took me a long time to do the earrings. I see why you said to warmup with the bracelet first, why you used the wire, and also why you need the second pair of the xuron pliers. I struggled with the final rings to close the loop on the earrings. I ended up putting the tiny ones and the floaters on, then finishing with the big ones. It was a lot easier to make sure I ended up on top where it was supposed to be. The tutorial was great and right on the money.

Great tutorial. I managed to make the chanimaille bracelet, the Tree of Life with great ease. However, the earring is a bit more complicated. I get close to connect both ends, and soon other loops are separating and falling off. I have noticed that the hoops I get, do not say what size, so I use a paper bead size chart. I cannot get my earring to look perfectly symmetric like your set. I am getting closer. I have made three attempts. Today, I'm trying the copper pyramid bracelet. Thank you.

I made the earrings with handmade ones, but you need to be careful how they get cut. The ones I cut with the side cutters popped loose while trying to put it together. I couldn't get the xuron double flush cutters inside the 2.5mm loop to cut them. I think it will hold as you can tuck the gaps behind stuff.

I got silver-filled wire and made a few things with it, it is now almost black with tarnish. What is the best thing to clean it with? I made the wire roses and a rag doesn't get into those areas. Also, can I coat it with something to prevent it from tarnishing again?
@FantasiaElegance
@FantasiaElegance 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, both silver-filled and sterling will tarnish quite rapidly. But, they are very easy to clean :) My favorite is the aluminum foil and baking soda method, which I've done a tutorial on here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3yzfJemfrGEd7c I will also use a Sunshine jewelry cleaning cloth or Pro Polish pads for items that can't handle the method above. As far as preventing tarnish with a coating, your options are a clear lacquer, like Protecta Clear, or a wax, like Renaissance wax (both available on Amazon). Just be aware that any coating will wear off unevenly over time and have to be removed and re-applied. Because of this, I usually just leave it as-is and clean frequently.
