@BarneyBhoy88 Жыл бұрын
But that’s Si’s problem😂 He tried to bring Ange’s philosophy/style of play and belief to non league football and part time players, that’s not to disrespect the players or staff it’s just a relentless system that would need full time work. He should find his own way as a manager instead of copying what he thinks is right. How many times did Kev or Andy say on a Monday this year something like “I know you got beat but I thought you played very well” all well and good having a style but if the results aren’t right it means nothing, Scott Parker a great example had Fulham/Bournemouth trying to play attractive football in the PL with no joy & was removed from his post with both teams improving after, he went to club Brugge and tried to play but was sacked because results weren’t good. As a manager surely adapting to what you have & changing the system if needs be to get results is just as satisfying as playing total football.

Ange Postecoglou has managed on the international stage at a World Cup with Australia and took them to their first ever trophy in the countries history. He then managed in Japan where he took Yokohama Marino’s to their first league title in 15 years and was second in the league the year after. Now he’s managing Celtic at which he took over when the club was in it’s worst position in YEARS and within 12 months turned it into a club that has been in the best position it’s been in years. Not to mention he’s an icon everywhere he’s been! This according to Spurs fans isn’t good enough for them (don’t know who they think they support) but yet they go crazy at the thought of Marcelo Gallardo - a manager who hasn’t got the CV Ange has got nor has ever managed outside of South America. That’s English PL fans for you…

Fully agree, Beale with only 2 transfers went toe to toe with Celtic for majority of season and outplayed them in the final 2 derbies. I think with a pre season under his belt they would fancy their chances of toppling Celtic. Ange has NEVER won a single game against better opposition as manager. Think best he managed was a Europa league victory in a dead rubber V Betis. Please let him stay and prove me or the Hoops fans wrong who think he’s miles better than he is. That’s why he is 4th choice behind a Feyenoord manager for a 8th best BPL team not in Europe. If he could win V decent opposition on the continent he would get a top 6 job due to his domestic record and style of play.

Celtic players becoming ‘pragmatic’ in defence is not the mantra Ange brought with him. Yet, I suspect he has evolved to trust that his players want to to go that way occasionally. He will creat a calmess at spurs in the club which is what they think they need and do in a way after Jose And there last chaotic manager.. but this guy aint going too get them too a level were they need too be.. the premier league aint Scotland and a few Japanese players aint going too win you a league.. its not that easy.. he doesnt have the knowledge too take away anything from the top 6 sides in England that they wont be one up on him.. if anything he could bring some calmness too the players crack a few jokes make people feel like its ok too lose sometimes but when he feels the pressure and spurs start diving 7th 8th 9th those players will fall harder because they will feel guilty they could not do it for the nice guy manager which is not there fualt but if there team is that good then thsts it.. atleast playing for themselves and the club held them around the top 8 last season they could say stuff the coach.. but when you are going bad and you feel bad for the manager it can spiral further faster.. i think Tottenham had the hard coaches for the past so many years and those players were slowly turning just hadnt fully adapted but now changing it up on them again is very very dangerous.. i dont think its a good mix.. i would if brought in some hard head mamager.. atleast the players would of said oh fuk here it goes im not finishing 8th again no matter what this coach throws at us im going too go harder were as now they will be going into a new world as Ange mentioned.. they will be shocked no matter how much he talks.. its about the energy and Spurs just went the other way again.. too much chop n change.. anyhows good luck too them and thats coming from an Arsenal supporter.. bring it on 💪

Highly rate him but that point about why do you prepare different for Real Madrid and Livingston is tactical nativity. You prepare different because you aren't going to out play Real Madrid.

Ange talking about him returning to Australia on Celtic's close-season trip. Very strange if he's going to Spurs?
@gezobel Жыл бұрын
@Wagwan Yup, I may have got that wrong when Ange talked about 'this year'. I assumed he might have been planning to fly to Australia for a week or two around that trip.
