A new Celtic song and the beginning of a new story. Since I finished the story arc around „Prophecy" I knew that it was not the end, I could feel that the silence that had followed was nothing more than my muse holding its breath, ready to unleash a new storm. This song is the start of a new story arc, a song to walk with our ancestors from a long forgotten past and to witness the fulfillment of the prophecy, only to unleash a new storm and give rise to a new legend.
PS.: Believe it or not, but I wrote this song in 5 hours, I was absolutely glued to it once I started. xD I didn't move away from it for a single second until it was done, not even to eat something (sorry Carina).
Composed and arranged 100% by myself as always, on keyboard.
The artwork was created by this great artist:

The land was silent, it was to calm. Something was coming. A storm. A storm that had raged for as long as our kind can remember. The raven flew it's northen hall. And with it the storm, for good or for ill it was coming. The land shook as the thunder rolled from the dark clouds. The skies lit with lightning and the rain poured down flooding the land. For good or for ill, the storm had come.

Comparing songs with and without lyrics is like comparing comics and novels. The former give u concrete ideas about things in the story but the latter give you spaces for imaging the sceneries, characters and so in different ways that suit your liking.

Mine as well. Quite a fascinating piece don't you think? It starts with a rather somber and subtle quality to it, then erupts into a masterpiece of elegance and adventurous flair. This should prove to be something quite beneficial to play in the background while I write my fantasy novel... Sorry for the random reply to your comment, just noticed someone I had subscribed to was commenting, thought I'd but in rudely and ruin the whole thing :D Good day to you Marc.

I saw something along the lines of a warrior returning home to his family, but he finds they have been killed in a raid...well one person remains or it may have been his village. Anyway, he learns who did it...and when it explodes, I can see that warrior riding off, after these people...for revenge...Celtic Style revenge.

I could also see the warriors getting ready to go to war. I love this time in history as I have a life memory from then. As the song reaches it crescendo they are in the midst of the battle. When it is over, as the music rescinds, I see then marching home to their loved ones, with a happy reunion.

Adrian, U keep surprising me everytime U produce a new composition. I do love that contrast starting calm - fighting rithm immediately after. This tell about an ancient story which start in a peaceful village and then bloody wars, for which mens keep telling to children next to the fireplaces for years and years. This is really like I was there, to listen, covering with my shield and armor then.

the mental image that this has painted me is; a gusty breeze flowing across the fields of Ireland, the wave crashing upon the cliffs, the pouring of the rain that as the storm nears it's end slows turning gentle as it touches the grounds and then ends leaving the memory of the storm.

Celtic music would be the soundtrack to my original world, even with all the various cultures I took inspiration from.

When I heard this music, I see the lands of Beleriand, the battles between elves, man and dwarves against Morgoth, the Dark Enemy. I see Turin son of Hurin fighting Glaurung, I see Beren and Luthien taking a Silmaril from Morgoth...this music is magic !

I think out of all your music this has to be my favorite song. Even just the beginning it feels very powerful and I rely like that. Kind of sends shivers down your spine. :)
