Not positive but price Nyasaland reminds me of the leader of the golden army in Hellboy, these guys with their special weapons and artifacts could have been the inspiration of the golden army. Not to mention the end fight ending in Ireland against the army. Just a connection I think I found.

Tuatha De Danann were gods themselves. Tuatha De means Tribe of the Gods while the last part, Danann, cahnges it to Folk(or Children depending on the translation) of the goddess Danu. The reason for this that most of the stories we have today were written by the Catholic Irish who at that point were dominate for centuries. As such they tried to make as christian friendly as possible even killing God-kings like Lugh to prove they were mortal though some may have been apart of the Mythology(It's hard to tell as you can guess). This story is from the book The Invasions of Ireland that infamously copy and pasted Genisis for its first chapter and many aditions like the people of Ireland being desended of Noah. The Nordic Mythology was done like this but suffered far less and from what we know was mostly accurate with additions of the gods being more brutal and cruel but fairly the same and there apparently a greater god than all others that no one knows even Odin who helped create the universe.
