Who can help educate me. Is Celtica the original name for the band that is now Cetica Nova? Or are they two separate bands or separate iterations?

Hi Marks, thanks for your interest in Celtica! In 2019 the original Celtica (with the addition "Pipes rock") left the US-gigs to the former bass player who continued as Celtica Nova. Within a short time both Celticas developed in different directions, e.g. different band members, different repetoir, etc.; You can find the whole story on our website celticarocks.com/explore/biography/ pls. scroll to "2019". Carmina Burrana and Celtica go together really well. I have mixed feelings about the flaming drones: your pipers are good, but I have seen the same gimmic used to distract attention from second rate playing. Seeing the drone extensions was a relief. I feared for the long hair. Do the drones still sound with them in place? Do you play chanters either flatter or sharper than normal to blend with other instruments?
