I'm from the Black Sea region of Türkiye. Our region is covered with forests, plains, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and more. Scotland, from what I've seen in movies and on the internet, is very similar to our homeland. We even have musical instruments that make almost the same sound. We call it "tulum", the Scots call it bagpipe. While watching the clip, I remembered our villages. It is very interesting that people in completely different parts of the world live similar lives. I want to visit Scotland one day. I'm sure they have many more unknown similarities with the Black Sea people. Greetings to the people of nature.

@smsnamisos Жыл бұрын
@@Pro-ku5jo No state in history has hesitated to take land. They all wanted to increase the land they owned, which was the measure of wealth at that time. Greece was one of them. Today, they accuse everyone of this because they have very little land left. Because they are militarily weak. What matters is not the land you take, but how you take it. Were the first owners of our region Greeks? Of course not. They took from others, we took from them. And it has been ruled by the Turks for hundreds of years. The Greeks no longer have any influence or connection. We do not claim rights over our former lands. Until Vienna, all of Europe was a part of us and we were ruling it. But that doesn't mean it's ours. The Romans also once ruled Anatolia, but this did not mean that Anatolia belonged to them. As for Israel, we are in 2023 today. We do not live in the Middle Ages and we do not dream of the Middle Ages. Israel carries out barbaric and bloody massacres, unaware of the age in which it lives. While the whole world is up in arms about the massacre in Palestine, I don't understand why some people exclude them just because of their religion. If the same thing happened to the Greeks, we Turks would support the Greeks. Religion and race do not matter to us. Innocent is innocent and no baby deserves to be slaughtered for a disgusting purpose. Those who do not accept the killing of Israel should not call themselves human. Rest assured, most of us Turks do not care about the Greeks and our old lands. The Greeks should do the same. Calling Istanbul Constantinople and Black Sea Pontus does not change anything. It just makes them look funny. This comment of mine being drawn into politics is an example of this. As long as we are polite, arguing brings a lot of benefits.

My tour guide/bus driver played this on the bus at the end of our tour through the Scottish Highlands and I will never forger the scenery I witnessed with this song playing. One of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited with some of the nicest people I have ever met. I would love to live in Scotland some day. Oh and I love your whiskey too. Much love from Canada.

My father was a regular soldier in the Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons) and served in WW2. He served from the beginning to the end, but we didn't find out until after he died what a hero he'd been and had been awarded the Croix de Geurre for gallantry in Belgium. He never told anyone. A modest hero and a good father and grandfather. He loved Scotland.

Well I am half Polish-German mix; that's from my mom's side. My dad's side gets more complicated with a mix of German, Norwegian, Swedish, English, Irish, etc, etc. (I actually think there is some Jewish heritage as well, but I could be mistaken) I am a white American mutt with all kinds of European heritage. That's why it is just easier for me to say I'm American. :)
