Hiya David, Iv watched the video tape for the umpteenth time but how do you interlock the rings at about the 4 minute mark or is there another tutorial showing how its done TIA .

Sorry. This video was more artistic than instructional. I cut all the figure 8's and pre solder half of them closed. I then loop a closed one through and open one, and solder it. So i now have two soldered 8's linked together. I then push them as you see in the video and then fix them at the sides. Hope this makes sense. I do hope to make video on this soon. Dave

Hey, really sorry this may be a silly question, but how did you get the ridges/groove through the center of the strip of silver? Did the bullion come like that or did you run it through a roller or something similar? Thank you for the great videos, please never stop!

Hi Dave. Fantastic rings... Stunning to look at, but looks like a project I could contemplate. On a side note where in Morecambe Bay are you in the video... I thought it was all mud and scrub ( I also like photography and Morecambe is the closest coast to me)

+Phillip Halliwell In that case, Howdy neighbour. The initial sunsets are taken from Morecambe promenade, looking north across to grange and the lake district. The big rock and my partner looking across the bay are taken at Hest Bank, (headland) a little further round the bay to the north, theres a popular level crossing to get across the railway and onto the beach. The old church and the cliffs are at Heysham village south of the bay. I can also recommend Williamson park in Lancaster where you can get a panoramic view of the whole bay at sunset. Dave.

hello david I have just watched you make celtic wedding bands I did not see how you made the raised edges on the ring did you solder bands on or mill the ring blank regards ken

Three methods. the first is as you say, attach bands, see the video below where I show this on a different ring. The second would be to spin them on a lathe, which I did use to just clean up the rings, but I'm not that good with the lathe to make them from scratch. The third solution which I used was to buy large cast Spinner rings and remove the outer spinner part. Cut and flatten, this then gave me the starting point where you see me measuring and flattening the material. Dave. kzbin.info?o=U&video_id=TRf5gcay21s

+john yazbek a bit of a secret there. I did think about soldering the edges on using square wire. I have done this in the past. For these rings I bought "spinner rings" which have the channel built into them. I removed the spinning part, desoldered and flattened out the strip. this is what you see at the start of the video. once sized they where made back into rings and work continued. Another method would have been to use my watchmakers lathe. Start with cast wedding band and lathe out the channel. I did use the lathe to clean them up, but I could have actually made them on the lathe.

What tool is it at 4:13 min. After solder it to the ring. Look like a glue gun.
